The estate went silent like a tomb. It felt too cold as i stood in my bedroom and stared at the massive mahogany wardrobe. Something was wrong. The air in the room felt stagnant and wrong which made me to step forward and push. The wood groaned and slid aside. The wall behind it wasn't solid, it was a seam which looked like a frame but in reality it was a door. I didn't call for backup neither did I reach for my radio. I pulled out my weapon and clicked on my flashlight. The beam cut through the dark like a blade and that was when I pushed the door open. A passage stretched before me, narrow and ancient. The walls were almost leaking with water, but it was very visibly damp. I stepped inside and the first thing that hit me was the thick smell of wet earth and copper in the air.
