I twisted and turned until it was 12 am. The pain I was feeling on the lower part of my belly was gone. Replaced by something else, something dreadful sitting in my gut. The words on the paper kept replaying itself in my head. “Lock you windows tonight—Jax” I checked the window for the fifth time and there was nothing, except the rain beating steadily on my window glass. Is he just trying to scare me? Or is there an actual threat and he is only trying to protect me. I couldn't figure out which one of them was the case so I laid back on my bed and listened as the rain turned into something more stronger and harsher. Minutes passed.
