After three days of Jax keeping his distance and trying to pretend that I didn't exist, he finally decided that it was time for us to go somewhere. He had been watching me and I knew it. I saw how his eyes darkened when my wolf rising up to the surface. How he gave me an intense look when my eyes flashed gold. Now we were standing at the edge of the forest behind the estate when Jax said it was time. This was what I had been dreading for three weeks. "Right now?" I looked at the trees stretching dark and endless ahead of us. "Tonight?" "Your wolf has been pushing against you since the attack." He watched me carefully. "If you keep suppressing it, the next shift will not be controlled." "And you think now will be?" "I think you are ready. You have to learn how to control your shift.
