I WILL BE BACK

“What's this, Dad?” I asked with full of confusion and opened it.

“You read it by yourself, Dear.” He denied giving any answer.

I opened it and start reading. My eyes were scanning the papers and as I was reading it further my eyes widened gradually.

“What,” I was not believing in my eyes what I have just read in the papers.

“Yes, Sweetie. You understood correctly. This is our new venture which I am thinking to start in a new city. And you will be the whole and sole owner of that company.” He explained it in short words.

“But Dad, I am not aware of anything related to business. How would I manage this?” I was more tensed rather than happy.

“Why are you worrying about this. You have a talented and sincere husband by your side. He will help you. And support you till then you learn everything.” He tried to convince me. I was still bewildered by his announcement.

“OK, I will accept this gift but Gavin will handle it for some time and I will join him later when my training will complete,” I suggested the middle way for the problem.

Dad was about to say no again but finally, he convinced after I bickered.

“OK, as you say so. I will call my lawyer tomorrow and instruct him to make changes. Till then the final papers arrive, you can go and visit the place, find a house to live over there.” He suggested to us.

“ I think you should leave for Norwich today only. It is the weekend though so you can find your home there easily.” Mom advised us.

“But mom, my college friends are throwing a party for me today evening. I can’t go this weekend.” I was bewildered by her decision.

“Then how you will make it on time?” mom questioned me back.

“It’s OK, don’t bicker like that. I can go for the house hunt and till then Scarlett will manage the stuff here.” Gavin suggested. His one hand was covering my shoulders. I smiled back with his gesture. My eyes were beaming with his idea.

Wow, what an understanding husband he is! I was on cloud nine after hearing from him. I was happy at my destiny to have him as my husband.

But my mom was still not looking convinced.

“It’s only one day gap and by the way, we are going on our honeymoon after that. Please, Mom. Agree this time.” I made my best puppy face to convince her.

Why she was so adamant to send me with him. It’s a simple thing he can do alone though. I want to wrap up my things here. I needed a little time.

Mom was not very much happy with our marriage. Though Gavin was a good person, she was always doubting about his family background. He was working on the company for three years but never shown up with his family.

Later on when I told her that he has only his Uncle Jeremy by his side then she assured by it. But still, she always keeps her eyes on him and notes his every move. I was not understanding why she has doubts. He saved her daughter from the goons, is that not enough to trust someone’s intent.

My mom surrendered to my request finally and gave up by putting up her hands.

I jumped in happiness and stood up from my chair. I ran to her and gave her a tight hug. But still, I was not able to understand why she was so worried about me. Why he can not go alone to search for a place. Anyways, I have decided I will join him after two days only.

“OK, so I go and do some packing as I have to leave now only.” After finishing the breakfast we both took our leave and went directly to his apartment. My stuff was still there at my parents home as Gavin was looking for a bigger place to, live so he suggested me to stay at my old house.

It’s the first time I have visited his place. It’s a two BHK apartment and clean and maintained one. Everything was neat and clean and very well placed. Cosy living area with home theatre and open kitchen with an attached bar. Two bedrooms with attached washrooms. Both were having queen-sized beds and walking closets.

I was peeping inside the walk-in closet of one if the bedroom but bumped in a hard ironed chest. I looked up and found the mesmerizing blue orbs drilling inside my heart. I crashed with his irony chest and heated up with shyness. He pulled me closer and started sucking my lips. My body started reacting with his touch. We started soaking each other's lips.

Our make-out session was on the peak when we suddenly heard the doorbell rang. Who will be there at this time?

We stopped in the middle of the act. I stood up from the bed and came out of the room after fixing my dress properly I opened the main door of the house.

I peeped outside of the door but nobody was there. I was about to turn but a sudden gush of wind crossed me. I felt chills in my entire body. I didn’t think about it much and turned to close the door.

“…HEEBEI JEEBEI…” I jumped out of my skin when I found Gavin standing behind and unusually staring at me.

“You scared me,” I put my hand on the left of my chest to control my pounding heartbeat.

I punched him on his chest after making myself composed. But he didn’t budge off. I found it little weird but I drop off my thoughts thinking that may be he is pranking at me.

I walked inside the room to complete his packing. I was busy in the work.

“…..BHAMMM….” The bag which I zipped up and put it on the bed to make sure it's far enough from the edge of the bed, but it fell as I turned to go out of the room. I walked on the side and squatted down to pick it up. But it was heavier than it supposed to be. I left the bag in the room and went out to call Gavin so we can leave the place.

To my surprise, Gavin was already dressed up and ready to go.

“Hey, Hon, when you got ready? Your clothes were up in the room. When you came there?” I was confused about his presence in the room.

“You were so busy packing my stuff, and I didn’t want to disturb you.” He tried to convince me and captured my lips before I could have asked something more.

Then we quickly took our stuff and left the house. We decided that first, he will drop me at my place and then he will leave for Norwich.

His house was situated in little outskirts of the city. I found it strange that it’s very time consuming to reach the company or even to go out for clubbing or shopping or any kind of recreation stuff.

Let it be, I don’t think much. Now I am his legal wedded wife and he will tell me about him whenever I will ask for that. I am not in hurry and now I only wanted to enjoy my girl’s gang meet up.

“Hey Charlie, what’s up girl?” I greeted one of the friends when I meet with them at the pub.

“Hey,” she squealed when hugged me back.

“You are looking gorgeous, My dear.” She praised me.

“Your husband is doing work diligently on you,” Anna smirked at me while holding my waist from one side.

I blushed and laugh out to hide my shyness.

“You girl,” you never leave a chance to buffoonery." I gave a side glance to her.

“You are the first one among us to get married now we have a chance to get hots on the other boys. Well aware of the fact that most of the boys are chasing you.” Jane teased me.

“Whatever,”

Sometimes she pissed me a lot I didn’t cage you or stop you to mingle with hot guys. If they have eyes on me than it’s not my fault Babe. You have to double-check with you. I snapped in my mind.

Veronica appeared with a tray of shots.

“OK, girls, it’s a cheers time.”

We all jumped on the glasses and took one by each one. We raised the hand in cheers position.

“In the name of our beloved angel who just knocked up a night ago. Cheers for Scarlett.” Anne tossed for me.

“Cheers,” we all followed her in unison and gulped down the liquor. The pungent liquid burnt us from inside.

“Ewee, what was that?” I twitched my lips after tasting it.

"BLACK RUSSIAN,"  Veronica smirked proudly.

“It will help you to wake up for the full night.” She smirked at me.

“Then why you drank it?” I did backfire on her.

She gulped down the lump.

“I have a late-night date today.” She bluntly accepted it later after poking more.

The music was rocking and energetic. We all jumped on the floor and start dancing with our heart.

We all were dancing with ignorance of the surrounding.

“Oops, Sorry. I didn’t see you were behind me.” I apologized to a man with whom I just clashed.

My eyes got widely opened when I saw him after this long time.

“Jaxon,”

He was with her girlfriend I guess who was clinging to him in dance.

I turned my back to him and moved towards the bar to get some drink. "Arrgh," I need a drink now to face him again.

When my drink arrived I gulped it down quickly and asked for one more.

I was waiting for my drink. He appeared again in front of me from nowhere.

“What,” I gave him a pissed look while sitting on the barstool but I averted my eyes on my nails which were prettier than anything at the moment. 

“Congrats for the wedding.” He smiled. He was leaning on the Bar top.

“Thanks, ” I gave a short answer.

“You were very fast, hmm.” He gave me a sullen look.

I started chugging of my drink when it arrived.

“None of your business,” I answered flatly.

“Can't you wait for me? We could make things fixed.” He said in pissing voice.

“Why should I wait for you? You are nothing for me from the day you broke with me. I am a married woman now.” I snapped back at him showing my ring finger dazzling with a diamond ring in it.

“You are doing a mistake, Scarlett. You will regret this later.” He said with anger.

“Listen, Mister, I am tolerating you for nothing here. Now f**k off from my site. And keep it with you only."

He grabbed my wrist in a tight grip.

“Scarlett, please listen to me for once. I was a fool who ditched you. Please come back to me.” He pleaded with gloomy eyes.

".....SLAPPPP....."

He was caressing his left cheek now.

“Now you enlighten of a sudden. BINGO.” I shouted at him.

“Listen to me carefully now. One more word or I will bury you here only. Never try to cross my way again if you want your wellbeing.” I sniffed and tinkling in anger. I stomped on the floor and turned back to reach my group.

“I will come back to you. Count on me. I am not going to leave you that easily.” He shouted at my back.

I sniggered at him for last time and disappeared in the crowd.

Ahh, what was the party? My hangover is gone. Why he came back now? What does he want from me? I Was pulling my hair. I was happy after getting married to Gavin and dreaming of fairy tale life.
