Gavin was underneath the Gunman. When I heard the firing sound I felt on the ground on my knees and covered my ears to protect from it. People were screaming and running here and there and panicked. “Ga...vi...n”, I was screaming his name and tears were rolling down from my eyes in an uncontrolled way. I was looking at the two bodies which were tangled with each other and lying in the middle of the road. Some spectators were standing there and watching the show but nobody was daring to go near to them. I thought I have lost my one more friend once again. The pain of losing someone was shattering my heart into pieces. No, I can’t let this happen again. If that gunman is alive then I will kill him with bus very own gun. I stood up and picked up the revolver from the road which fell a little far from them. I started moving towards them while pointing it on the gunman. I was approaching them with shaky hands and my heart was drumming several beats in one second. My legs converted into the jelly bean and I was struggling to reach over there. When I reached there I saw that gunman was not moving but Gavin was struggling to remove his body above from him. I threw the revolver on the road and helped him in it. My eyes bulged out when I saw him bleeding from his shoulder. I got panicked. “Gavin, You are bleeding. Let me call help.” My voice was trembling. With shaking hands, I fished out my phone and called for an ambulance. My voice was not reaching to him and he got fainted. Soon after that, they arrived and we took him to the hospital. The medical team immediately took I’m to the emergency room and started their treatment. I called my Mom and told her about what has happened in front of Multiplex. She got worried but I told her I am all right but Gavin is in under observation. I informed her I will return once Gavin gets his consciousness. Police were also reached on the spot and sealed the crime thee. Later they came to the hospital too to get his statement about the incident but he was unconscious so I gave all the answers on behalf of him And explained to them what had happened at the place. **** After 5 Hours. I was sitting on the stool near the bed in the VIP ward. By using my identity I requested them to shift him here only. I was staring at his body. His left shoulder was covered with bandages and some of the pipes were connected to his body intravenously. It was painful for me to look at him in this condition. He was sleeping motionless due to the effect of anaesthesia. It was half-past eight in the evening and I was waiting for him to get consciousness. I was tired too after the day-long adventure. The doctor told me that he was lucky that the bullet hit the shoulder only but it was very near the heart. He sent some medicines and his record file which was having the report of the condition of his vitals. I kept them on the side table. “Ahh..” he groaned in the pain. I was half sleepy but suddenly woke up by his voice with a j “Are you all right?” I asked him worried. “Ahh, where we are?” he was confused and trying to open his eyes which were blinking due to the light outside. “We are at the hospital and I am relieved after knowing that you are alive and safe,” I asked with croak voice. I was holding his hand and caressing it with concern. “Why you did this for me? If something happens to you then I couldn’t forgive myself.” I was sobbing while saying that. Since five hours I was praying to God for his wellbeing. I never faced this type of situation in my life and didn’t think that someone can push himself to save me. He cupped my face with his both hands and pulled it up to look straight in my eyes. My green eyes were looking instantly on his dark blue. “When I saw you in the clutches of that hooligan my heart stop beating at the moment. I felt as I am going to lose you forever. I head the fear of his revolver too but my body was too quick to respond. I was wanted to save you at any cost.” He was saying his heart out but my body was feeling numb by his touch. His eyes were boring inside my eyes and slowly the dirt was cleaning up from my buried love with his every word. The love which I almost concealed in the bottom of my heart and was determined that I will never allow anyone to reach there. But Gavin broke the seal with one s***h. And I am glad that finally found him. Jaxon broke my heart to several pieces and I was not sure that if I was able to mend it back or not. But Gavin was healing it bit by bit. “Promise me, you will never do such stunts again in future. I don’t want to lose you.” I was crying and hugged him tightly. He responded to the same to me and kissed me at my left ear. “I going to inform the doctor that you wake up. Till then you take rest.” I kissed him on his forehead and ruffled his hair slightly. I came out of the ward by slightly closing the door. I went straight to the doctor and informed him about his condition. When passing by the hallway I was thinking of the event that happened today and how Gavin protected me at that moment. My heart was racing after his proposal and on their side fearing too that what if again he did the same with me as Jaxon did in the past. My brain was constraining me to accept him. “Accept him, he is the one who is competent for you. Forget the past. He never deserved you. Gavin is your future.” But in the extremity of my heart, it was always Jaxon. But he dissevered my heart in tiny pieces. Maybe God sent Gavin as and healing agent and I have to think about him. I was on the train of my thought when I entered the doctor’s cabin. I knocked in the door and got inside. He was busy doing something on his computer. He glanced at me after fixing his specs on the bridge if his nose. He was in his late fifties. “Yes child, what happened?” He asked me with concern. “Umm, Gavin woke up from his unconsciousness and now expecting your visit,” I muttered. “OK, I am coming in two minutes.” He straightforwardly answered and pointed me to go out. I nodded and came back to his VIP ward. After two minutes the doctor also came with his assistant and barged in the room. “Miss, can you go out of the room for a few minutes, I have to check up on him.” He requested and I came out of the room after looking at them for one last time. I was praying outside the room that everything should go all right. My heart was trying to believe what my brain was saying. I left the answer for a time. The doctor came out and informed me that he is doing great and will be discharged the next day. I jumped I happiness and rush inside the room. He was talking to someone on his phone but baffled when saw me. I squinted my eyes on him but said nothing and sat near his bed on the visitor’s chair. Till then he cut off the call and turned towards me. “I was talking to my Uncle and said he wants to meet you.” He cleared my thoughts which I bought easily. “Ok, come to my home someday,” I told nonchalantly. “By the way tomorrow you are going to discharge. The doctor informed me that your wounds are healing at great speed and you can manage it at home by yourself but you have to come here for dressing on alternate days.” I informed him about what the doctor told me outside. “Yeah, I know that my uncle is going to pick me tomorrow so you do not need to worry, I will be all right.” He gave me a faint smile after saying that. I nodded slightly as I was thinking about something else but I don’t want to be clingy. “You should take my leave then, it’s already half-past ten. Your parents would be worried about you. You need to take rest too, will meet soon.” He sincerely told me and was looking tired as well. I didn’t want to leave him but after bickering, I took my bid of goodbye from him after giving him a quick peck on his forehead. **** Next day he informed me that he reached home and taking rest. We didn't talk much for the rest of the days in the week because I wanted to be clear-headed for my decision and I needed some time for it. I told everything about what had happened between us since we met with each other. How Gavin protected me from those goons and got a bullet in his shoulder. how he used to care about me and kept his words. My parents were looking at me perplexed. “Do you like him, Sweetie?” my father asked me. I was confused about my feelings till now but after returning from the hospital, I got my answer that what my heart wanted. “Yes, Dad I like him. I am not known to him very much but whatever he did to me in recent days are enough to give him a chance.” I was dubious about my parent’s decision. “I know him for three years as he is very consistent and sharp mind person. I am glad that you are thinking about him. I am looking forward as two of you together in future.” My father told with beaming eyes. My mother was supportive of my father in this decision and he decided to meet him and his family in the coming weekend. ***** The week passed quickly and the day of the meeting with his parents arrived. “Hello, Mr Livingston, meet my Uncle, Jeremy Stockholm. Uncle, please meet Scarlett's father and she is her mother Violet.” Gavin introduced both the parties with each other. My father handbook with his uncle and his uncle kissed on the back of my mother’s palm. I was wearing normal jeans and halter neck top and my hairs were waving at my back. Gavin was wearing his chinos and white shirt, looking devilishly smart. My eyes were drooling at him. He must be gawking at me too but I was stealing moments to adore him. Our parents were mingling with each other and soon our students started to serve as the refreshments which were specially prepared for my demand. My mom told me to give him a tour of the house. I nodded and I took him with me. When I was walking with him on the first floor of the house the memories of past hovered me again. The day when Jaxon proposed me for the first time, it was like a Deja-vu for me but the characters have changed. When we were crossing the lounge area in front of my room he halted in his track and pulled me towards him. I was looking at him as a weirdo. “Scarlett, what happened to you in the past or why you always look dispirited I don’t know. I don’t want to know it ever but I know our present and future. I want to give all the happiness you deserve in your life. I want to be the reason for your smile back on your face. Please give me a chance to prove my love to you. I promise you will never regret your decision.” His blue eyes were locking with my green ones. His husky voice was giving me chills in my spine. His voice was doing a spell on me. My brain was coercing my heart to say yes to him. Somewhere I am thinking that may be last time I took a long time to express my feelings to Jaxon and that was the reason for our break up. Now I didn’t want to waste my time in thinking much. His eyes were hypnotic and I pecked his lips with mine. His soft gentle lips were lingering on mine. K was feeling so complete. He was sulking my lips softly and licking them with his tongue. My body was reacting with it and basking more from him. We parted ways only when felt the need for air. I was panting hard and before I could recover my air he again and pulled me from my waist towards his hard built. He pressed his lips on and tenderly brushing them on my lips. My core was getting wet with this hotness. The pleasure he was giving me, I never experienced before. He was nipping on my neck and sweetly kissing on the crook of it. His hands were moving on my slender back and pushing it more towards him. I can feel his racing heartbeat which was mingling with mine. We were on the way of our short make-out session but cut off by my mom’s voice. “Food is ready, come down.” She was yelling from downstairs. I got relaxed that nobody had seen us during our small kowtow session. . . . . . I told my parents that I want to marry Gavin and they were happy to know about my decision. My parents were highly impressed by him and his uncle so they were also wanting to tie a knot between us. ***** I and Gavin were standing in front of Holy Cross in our marriage attire taking our vows for each other. "Will you have this woman/man to be your wife/husband, to live together in holy marriage? Will you love her/him, comfort her/him, honour, and keep her/him in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to her/him as long as you both shall live?" The Priest asked both of us. “Yes, I Do.” He spoke softly but a determination was there in his voice. “And you, Scarlett?” Then the priest was looking at me. Gavin was staring at me with his white light.
