Echo's feet pounded the dusty streets of Willow Creek as she chased after the rogue time traveler. The figure darted between the old buildings, using the narrow alleys to evade capture.
Echo's suit beeped, indicating that the time traveler was getting closer to the town's central square. Chrono's voice guided her through the winding streets, providing real-time updates on the time traveler's location.
As Echo turned a corner, she spotted the time traveler ducking into a nearby saloon. She burst through the swinging doors, her eyes scanning the dimly lit room.
The patrons of the saloon stared at her in confusion, their faces illuminated only by the faint light of the setting sun. Echo's gaze locked onto the time traveler, who was attempting to blend in with the crowd.
Without hesitation, Echo pushed through the crowd, her suit's advanced sensors tracking the time traveler's every move. She reached out, grabbing the time traveler's arm and spinning them around to face her.
But to her surprise, the time traveler didn't struggle or attempt to escape. Instead, they smiled, revealing a mischievous glint in their eye.
"Echo," the time traveler said, their voice low and husky. "I've been expecting you."
Echo's grip on the time traveler's arm tightened. "Who are you?" she demanded.
The time traveler chuckled. "Someone who knows your secrets, Echo. Secrets you don't even remember yourself."
Echo's eyes narrowed. What was this person talking about? And how did they know her name?
Suddenly, the saloon doors burst open, and Asher strode in, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Echo and the time traveler.
"Ah, perfect timing," the time traveler said, their smile growing wider. "Asher Blackwood, welcome to the party."
Asher's eyes locked onto Echo, his expression unreadable. What was his connection to the time traveler, and what did he want?
Echo's grip on the time traveler's arm tightened. She wasn't going to let this person escape, not until she got some answers.
