I don't get my mom at all. Did she just say yesterday? But I thought it was-
Nah, I should be reviewing, my quiz is tomorrow and I just said to my mom that shiela and I reviewed, that's why I got home late. If I get a failing grade then it will be the end of me.
I went to my room and lay on the bed saying "What am I doing? I thought I was gonna study but I am right here, laying in bed"
I decided to stand up and sit by the chair in the front of my study table. I breathe heavily. I am not in the mood for this but what can I do? I cannot afford to fail, I have to pass. I borrowed the book from the library earlier, the book that I was about to read and review for my quiz but didn't get the chance to do so.
Because I saw that girl.
Minutes have passed but still, I can't understand a single thing because the mysterious girl I saw keeps on visiting my mind. I keep seeing her face and.... her smile. I keep on asking this question to myself, "What is her relationship with the little girl?" I whispered out of nowhere.
What's wrong with me? It's getting worse! I don't want to see them again, those four mysterious person. But I really want to know who they are, what do they from me, and why do they keep on bothering me.
Having these thoughts, I didn't realize that it's been 2 hours since I decided to study but not a single thing have sinked in on my mind.
I'm already sleepy right now, really really sleepy. But no! I have to do. his, I have to study. I continue to read and practice solving these problems with such complicated formulas which I really really really hate. Thankfully I am starting to understand it, but only for a little bit. I think I might be able to fully understand this, I'll just have to continue studying this, harder.
A little while and my phone rings, someone's calling. But who might call at this time?. I looked at who's calling but the number is unknown. I didn't answer it, I don't want to. Mom said that I should not pick up calls from I someone I don't know.
I was about to continue what I was doing but suddenly, someone's calling again. It's the same number from before, it's unknown. I want to find out who it was, maybe I'll answer it just this once.
I answered and waited for this unknown person to talk first. But nobody is talking, nor saying anything. But I can hear a heavy breathing. I decided to spit a word and said " Hello? Who's this?"
The person still didn't answer. I repeated to ask for the person's name. It talked. I know that she's a girl from her voice. Her voice is too soft and it was just like a whisper when she said what her name was. But that's not the end of it, I was so in total shock to hear what her name was. It was..
Meiryl.
We have the exact same name. Meiryl is my real name, that is why my nickname is Mei. Just who is this girl?
I was about to ask her something but the call ended, she ended it. I want to know who she is. I want to call her back but the unknown number was not in the recent records, it's like it disappeared. I can't fully remember that number, I really want to talk to her. Maybe she knows the answer to my complicated questions.
What! It's already 11 pm!? I shouted on my mind when I noticed what time is it now on my cellphone. But I don't seem to feel even a little bit sleepy, that's odd. I wanted to sleep earlier but now, I don't feel like sleeping at all.
I decided to go out of my room, down the stairs, and went to the kitchen. I need a coffee right now.
I am currently preparing coffee and some snacks, I think my mom is already asleep, and that's a good thing. I am going up the stairs now but the coffee slipped and the floor got slightly wet. I carried the snack to my room, get the floor map, and went back to the part of the stairs where the coffee slipped. As I look at it I suddenly saw something in my mind. It was like I saw someone fell down the stairs before. I don't know, maybe I'm just making scenarios on my mind or maybe I just saw something like that on a movie or TV shows.
I cleaned it up and decided to go back to my room. I stood up in front of the door and pushed it but it won't open. I know I didn't lock it earlier but it just won't open. After doing some attempts to open it, I did it. It opened but it won't open totally. It feels like someone is pushing behind it. It's like it don't want me to enter my room.
I stepped back for a little and the door opened totally, by itself. I entered and saw no one in the room. The windows are closed so it is impossible for the air to enter and push the door by itself. Also, by that force... I know it's a person.
"Show yourself" I said as I look around the room. No one responded and no one came to show itself. I said something again. "Show yourself, I want your help"
Suddenly I feel that there is someone behind me. It's so close, I can feel its breath touching my hair. It's breathing heavily.
I gulped and asked. "Who are you?" The person behind me comes closer to my ear and said...
"I'm your mother, now enough fantasizing and get some sleep, do you know what time it is?"
I turned my back and it's mom, "What are you doing here mom?" I asked while looking around.
"I saw you mopping the floor earlier, this coffee is mine, now get some sleep" she said while taking the coffee that I prepared.
I sighed heavily. "Okay okay, I'll go sleep now, goodnight" I said as I lay on my bed waiting for my mom to go out the room.
"Goodnight sweetie" mom said while leaving the room, closing the door. It feels so weird, Everything feels so strange. I stared at the ceiling to get my mind clear for a little while then I fell asleep.
In the morning...
I am currently walking with Shiela, we are on our way to our classroom. This is it, it's physics time. Good thing that I studied last night and understand something from what I have reviewed.
We entered the classroom and went to our seats. A little later and the Professor came. I can see those test papers already, It gives me chills everytime I see that.
"Everyone, back to your seats" she said. My classmates quickly gets back to their sits. Suddenly, the teacher said something that made my jaw to drop.
I was so shocked and confused when I heard what the teacher said..
"I have here the results of your long quiz in Physics, One of you got a perfect score, let's give Meiryl a round of applause"
