Three days after the accident, the burial was in full swing. Margarita was in charge, and Audrey welcomed the guests. "Thank you for coming," Audrey said, bowing. "My condolences," Daniel, the family lawyer, said as he entered. Audrey and Adelina's former classmates arrived at the burial venue. "My condolences, Jade," Drake said, hugging her. "Thank you so much for coming," Audrey responded tearfully. Maverick looked around. "Where's Dove, Jade?" he asked, noticing Adelina's absence. Audrey sighed. "She has refused to come out of her room since we came back from the hospital." "I understand her," Drake said. "She woke up with the same people but had to face reality that her parents are gone, so it'll definitely hit her hard." "My poor sister," Audrey said, smiling pitifully. "She's always cold and aloof to them, but still loves and cherishes them very much." Maverick handed Audrey a food pack. "Here, I know you don't have an appetite to eat, but still try to eat something." Audrey collected it and smiled at him. "Thanks, Rick. Go on in." Meanwhile, at the Jones residence, Adelina walked around the mansion, remembering memories they shared. "Mother, Father, why? Why do you both have to leave us? Answer me, Mother, Father, answer me! Why do you have to leave me?" She fell to the ground, crying. "Mom, Dad, I promise you, I'll be warm to you. Please come back. I'll be good to you, so please come back. Come back, Mom. We still have a lot of things to do together with Audrey, so come back, please." She had a flashback of her mother. "C'mon, girls, hurry. I don't want to be late for the date," Alicia said hurriedly to her girls, who were helping her to dress up, "Chill mom, you know daddy will always wait for you, so calm down" Audrey said to her mother, amusedly. "You don't understand Jade", Alicia said smiling to her elder daughter. Adelina finally spoke up. "What do we not understand, Mom? I've noticed that even when Dad goes on a business trip, you feel like dying, even there was a time you followed him to one trip," eyeing her mother from where she was sitting. Alicia smiled. "You don't understand. When you do, it'll be when you're in love." Adelina shook her head in disagreement. "If love makes someone this stupid, then I don't want to be in love." Alicia and Audrey laughed at her distasteful expression. "Then you'll be a reverend sister," Audrey retorted mockingly making Adelina to drag her hair causing Audrey to chase her around the room with Alicia laughing at them. Adelina smiled pitifully and emotionally as she snapped back to reality but immediately her vision began to blur as she stood in the drizzling rain, her heart heavy with grief. She felt like she was drowning in her emotions, unable to escape the pain. Suddenly, her legs gave out, and she crumpled to the ground, she was lying on the wet grass, her head throbbing. She tried to sit up, but a wave of nausea washed over her, and she vomited blood. Panic set in as she struggled to breathe, her chest constricting. She felt like she was losing control, her body betraying her then everything went dark. It was time for the bodies to be buried, so they headed to the cemetery. "Where's your sister, Audrey?" Margarita asked. "I don't know, Aunt," Audrey answered worriedly. Meanwhile, at the Jones residence, Adelina woke up due to the drizzling rain. As she looked around, she saw the dark sky and the rain-soaked mansion in the distance. She remembered her parents' funeral, the pain, and the overwhelming sense of loss, and she left the mansion to the cemetery. At the cemetery, everyone paid their last respects, throwing flowers to the grave. Audrey tried to stall time for Adelina to arrive. Soon, Adelina arrived, walked slowly to the coffin, touched it, threw a flower, and wanted to walk away, but the priest stopped her. "Won't you say something to them at least, child?" the priest asked. Adelina stopped walking, looking over her shoulder. "What should I say?" The priest smiled wryly. Adelina continued, "They promised each other that they would always be together, so I think their wish came through, and they are together even at death." She walked away slowly as the rain fell hard.
