Sophia's plan was in full motion. She had Rachel spreading rumors about Emily, and she was making sure to be wherever Edward was, flirting shamelessly and reminding him of what he was missing.
Edward, confused and uncertain, started to pull away from Emily. They had less conversations, and their hangouts became less frequent. Emily sensed something was wrong, but Edward just brushed her off, saying he was busy with school and stuff.
Sophia could see the distance growing between them and knew she had to keep pushing. She started leaving "accidental" clues for Edward to find, making it seem like Emily was interested in other guys.
One day, Sophia "accidentally" left her phone unlocked, with a text conversation between her and Emily's supposed "guy friend" on the screen. Edward saw it and felt a pang of jealousy.
Another day, Sophia made sure to "bump into" Edward at the mall, where she was "coincidentally" meeting Emily's supposed "guy friend" for coffee.
Edward's doubts were growing, and Sophia could see the confusion and uncertainty in his eyes. She knew she had to keep pushing, to make sure he didn't go back to Emily.
But as Sophia continued her sabotage, she started to feel a pang of guilt. She saw how much Edward cared for Emily, and she knew she was hurting him.
One day, Sophia's conscience got the better of her. She approached Edward and tried to confess, to tell him the truth about her plan.
"Edward, I need to tell you something," Sophia said, her voice shaking.
"What is it, Sophia?" Edward asked, looking at her warily.
Sophia took a deep breath. "I've been spreading rumors about Emily. I've been trying to sabotage your relationship."
Edward's eyes widened in shock. "Why, Sophia? Why would you do that?"
Sophia looked down, ashamed. "I was jealous. I wanted you back, and I didn't care who I hurt to get you."
Edward's expression turned cold. "You're sick, Sophia. You need help."
Sophia felt a pang of regret. She knew she had gone too far. She had hurt Edward and Emily, and she didn't know how to make it right.
As Edward walked away, Sophia realized she had lost him forever. She had destroyed any chance she had with him, and she had hurt her friends in the process.
Sophia's sabotage had backfired, and now she was left to pick up the pieces of her own broken heart.
