Logan could hear the shouts and commotion around him as he lay on the cold ground. He remembered being in the air as his dragon, and now he was on the ground in his human form. Logan tried to move, causing his body to be wracked with pain, forcing him to lie still and focus on each painful breath.
“Don’t move, Love,” Gabby whispered to him, holding his hand as the medical teams rushed to him. “It will be OK. I promise, you will be fine.”
“Evvs?” Logan breathed as he struggled to open his eyes.
Gabby’s heart clenched in her chest as she said, “Everly went to check on the kids. They might have felt it when you got hurt, and you know that their Aunt Everly and Uncle Ashton are almost as good as we are.”
