Breakfast had concluded at the Emery house, and except for Miranda, all the Emery siblings and their mates were gathering in the open space beside the Obsidian Community Art Center. It was a space they had used many times over the years to practice their magic and shift for the first time. It was used so often that Tyson had added a large open pavilion with curtains that could be closed for privacy to protect the occupants from the weather.
“Did Aunt Junie say when she would be able to join us?” Logan asked as he sat with his arm draped around Gabby’s shoulders.
