It was late, and the day and night’s festivities were coming to an end. Many of the Emery family, including cousins and grandparents, were seated at the massive table they always used. Jake, Amber, and the other leaders of the Obsidian Pack had joined them. Silas, Elsa, Andre, and Colette were with them, enjoying the company and marveling at the day. Alaster was also still there, holding Miranda on his lap as she peacefully slept.
