Last night, I spoke to Sterling for quite a while before he finally decided he needed to sleep. Since the detox, and Onyx has taken over more and more, I also have been sleeping. It's been so long since I have actually needed more than just maybe a few hours of rest that it seems like a foreign thing.
As a vampire, we don't necessarily sleep. We went into rest mode, which is somewhere between awake and fully asleep. So, actually falling into a full sleep is something I haven't experienced in a century, and I won't lie, it feels amazing.
When I woke up this morning, Olive wasn't in our room. She had left me a note saying she had a meeting with my aunt, and would be back shortly.
