With age, Kanba developed an extremely harsh personality. Karim and Tanvi would be the targets of her vengeance. She took advantage of Ram and persuaded him to draft a will without giving anything to Karim. Ram carried out his will without telling his children.
Akriti and Akash were in class studying. Akriti stood out among them as a model student and a bright person. Only his father, Karim, could persuade Akash to study.
Karim stumbled upon it one day. Reading the will, he realized Ram and Kanba had made him, Tanvi, and the kids destitute refugees. He sobbed very loudly, since he had never anticipated his parents' massive betrayal. Due to his mother's jealousy of Tanvi, everything was gone. He remained silent and explained to Tanvi why they experienced disappointment everywhere they went in life. He started to have negative thoughts about everything. Tanvi felt their children were their only hope and shared Tanvi's dejection.
Karim inquired about the will of Ram and Kanba. They were silent for a while. "Why did you leave your old parents and go to Tanvi's home?" Ram questioned Karim after a while.
You never treated Tanvi as a part of your family but rather as your slave, Karim retorted. She had endured years of suffering since she had no dowry. You treated her in such a callous way. We came here to find some tranquility in our lives.
Married life is like this, Ram added. It would have been better if she hadn't gotten married; she shouldn't have to suffer.
Karim swore at the pervasive bias against women in society. Tanvi said that Akriti shouldn't have to deal with this circumstance.
She would have to receive a good education and consent to getting married only after finding work.
