Akash was a really kind and intelligent person. He was two years younger than Akriti. His academic performance wasn't exceptional. Akash preferred to play card games, cricket, and football.
His academic performance failed to please Tanvi and Karim. He was studying, albeit not very well.
With Akriti, he was very playful and made fun of her for silly things. He was aware of his sister's high level of intelligence. He had a secret admiration for her. She didn't display such pride in front of her, though.
Akash would only concentrate on his studies if he was convinced to do so. Otherwise, he would waste time on useless hobbies.
Akash was aware of his family's dire situation. He was aware of his mother's and father's problems in life. However, none of them inspired him to take his studies seriously. He was the total opposite of his sister, Akriti, in that he was very careless with his family.
He received a lot of advice from Karim and Tanvi, but it was useless or had no effect. Akash didn't care about getting better grades; all he wanted was to pass the tests. He believed it would be impossible for him to earn higher marks. On occasion, he began to doubt his abilities and harbor envy of his sister, Akriti. He frequently bemoaned the fact that his parents preferred her. He experienced inferiority.
