Even so, the place was beautiful, with its soaring ceilings and use of natural wood and stone. Logan and I were given a secluded table near one of the windows, and he stared out into the blackness as if he could actually see what was out there. For all I knew, maybe he could. I had very good night vision — better than anyone else I knew — and it was entirely possible that Logan’s would be even better, since he didn’t have nearly as much human blood mixed in as I did.
