As much as it pained him to think of being apart, Alex understood Evelyn's perspective. "If this is something you really want to do, I support you wholeheartedly," he said with a soft smile. "We'll make it through this, just like we've overcome everything else."

They agreed to take a break during the study-abroad semester, promising to maintain open communication and remain committed to each other. The decision was difficult, but they knew it was essential for their personal growth.

Over the next few months, Evelyn immersed herself in the study-abroad experience, while Alex continued to explore his passion for art. They both made new friends, faced challenges, and embraced the changes life brought their way.
