While at the meeting, I felt uneasy. Damien was restless, and I could swear I heard Sam calling. I couldn't excuse myself, and I couldn't send Robert until after the meeting. Whatever it was, I hoped Sam could wait.
"I don't know what to do," my father confessed.
"let's try and dialogue with them again and see if we can agree," Robert's father, Beta Carter, said.
"It won't work," I said, " They are out for blood, and they were specific about whose blood they want."
