Two weeks had passed since Sam's twenty-first birthday. The pack was becoming agitated because they hadn't met her wolf. I had whisked her away from her party to buy us time, but apparently, it wasn't enough. I wondered why Sam was unable to shift. She had transformed a couple of times when she was nineteen.
