(Aria)
“Where are you taking me?” I asked Luca for the umptenth time. The whole ride has been silent save for the little noises from the gears anytime he changed them. It was like he was alone in the car, as he didn’t spare me a glance or say a word, but I wasn’t going to let him treat me however he wanted.
Things have changed.
“I am asking for the last time Luca, where are you taking me?”
He ignored me again as he had done other times causing me to do the only thing I could think of.
I screamed.
“Are you crazy?” He asked as he pulled the car to a stop.
“Yes, I’m crazy. First, you show up at my home after several years, then somehow I’m being shot at the biggest night of my life and finally you whisk me away in your car without so much as a word about where we are going so permit me to be crazy,” I replied in anger.
“Hmm,” he simply said and turned on the ignition. “You have never been the patient type tesoro but if you must know, I'm taking you to the Moretti mansion. You will be much safer there,”
I whipped my head around so quickly that my neck cracked a bit.
“You are taking me where? I'm not going anywhere with you, much less your mansion filled with Mafia men and violence,”
He chuckled darkly if I was spewing dark humor.
“It's funny to think that you have a choice on the matter. Not after what happened tonight. You are coming home with me where I can keep you safe,”
“I am going to call the police,” I replied whilst digging around for my car.
Almost immediately, he reached for my phone and threw it out of the window.
“Sorry tesoro but I'd rather not have the police in my business. Not like they'll be able to help you, I own them,” he replied with a smirk.
“I hate you,”
I may have blurted it out but I meant it.
“We will see about that,” he replied slamming the gear as the car sped up.
“You are driving at 130 Luca, stop it,” I screamed in panic.
“Why? Don't you hate me anymore?,” he replied rather calmly. His calmness scared me more than how fast he was driving.
“Luca please stop, I'm begging you,”
He didn't listen. The trees sped past us and turned into blurs with each mile.
I shut my eyes and began to pray. This was it, I was going to die and I hadn't even had s*x yet.
The car suddenly came to a stop and I slowly opened my eyes to find myself in front of a huge black gate with the Moretti Crest right at the middle.
“We are here,” Luca simply said.
I looked around me only to discover that we were in the isolated outskirts of the town. The gate opened slowly to reveal a guardhouse at the entrance with several surveillance cameras.
As Luca drove in, I studied my new surroundings. The driveway was long and paved with cobblestone and lined with cypress trees.
There was a water fountain in the middle of the compound —-a nude mermaid with water gushing from her n*****s.
Whoever designed or approved this sculpture was a pervert.
The car finally came to a stop in front of the mansion. Luca got down from the car and walked over to the passenger's side.
He opened the door for me but I refused to step down.
“Take me back home,” I insisted.
Luca rubbed his forehead in frustration.
“Aria, I know you have always been stubborn but we both need to rest after the shootout tonight. If you don't come down, I'll carry you in myself,”
I paid him no heed and crossed my hands to show defiance.
Luca let out a deep sigh before reaching into the car and throwing me over his shoulder like I weighed nothing.
“Put me down,” I protested whilst hitting his back but he was like a rock. He didn't move one bit.
I looked further into the distance to see some men dressed in an all black attire with huge guns. They were like statues and they blended well with the darkness.
The typical mafia life.
I finally gave up on hitting Luca and just let him carry me into the house.
He finally set me down inside the house and my mouth almost fell to the ground as I took in the sight before me.
The foyer was huge and it's marble floors were sparkling. A chandelier hung from the ceiling refracting dim light into sharp shards that scattered across the walls. There was no color or warmth…..just shades of grey, obsidian and steel. Even the art on the wall was intimidating: Black and white portraits, a crucifix of dark gold mounted above the staircase.
To the right was the sitting room. It stretched wide and immaculate with white Italian leather couches atop an ash Persian rug. A glass coffee table held a single crystal decanter and two matching tumblers, both spotless. The fireplace was unlit, its cold marble mantle decorated with a silver clock.
“Shut your mouth tesoro, you'll catch flies,”
I quickly snapped back to reality and turned to Luca who was already taking a few steps forward.
A lady probably in her 50s emerged from the shadows.
“Good Evening Don,” she greeted with a low bow.
“Ah Maria, take her to her room,”
“What do you mean “her room?” I asked in confusion.
“I had already planned on bringing you back home with me,”
I gaped at him in shock.
“You planned all of this?”
“No, I just decided to bring you home with me today. The shooting was just a plus,”
At this time, I was already seeing red.
“How dare you Luca? After all you have done to me? How dare you?,”
He chuckled.
“I haven't done anything to you, Aria. You are still a virgin”
