THE RE-AWAKENING OF THE FORGOTTEN

Chapter Five: The Alpha

“f**k you, crazy little rat”, the mask man yelled as a rat ran over him and hitting his leg on a wood. The noise of it immediately awaken Lisa from her sleep, who stood up panting.

She immediately returned to her quest of trying to open the casket. Still unable to open is, she decided to look through the entire body of the casket.

By the right-hand side of the casket she saw a drawing on the casket which stands as a description to something.

The drawing contains a finger pointing to the opposite direction of the casket. Lisa walked towards the direction where the finger was pointing at.

Getting closer to it, she saw a lever with another description by the right side which says, 'Move upwards to open'. A warning also could be seen by the left side, it says, 'werewolves are friendly but beware of wild and unfriendly werewolves'

She knew indeed she has entered into the werewolves' lair. She remembered she had read a few books about werewolves and how friendly some tends to be towards humans. Furthermore, she also knew the full moon helps to strengthen the werewolf. All this she only read in books and never believed it existed.

The mask man by this time came into where she was and met her standing by the lever about to activate.

“If I were you, I wouldn't do that”, the mask man warned to prevent her from activating the lever and opening the casket.

“And if I do, what's going to happen”, she replied.

“If you do, you would be unleashing the greatest enemy to humanity, and the world would suffer greatly for it”, the mask man further threatened. He immediately ran towards the direction of Lisa, but out of fear she pulled the lever upwards and the tomb of the casket opened gradually.

The mask man pulled her out from the spot she was standing, she fell down, but damaging the lever.

“What have you done” screamed the mask man.

She escaped from the mask man and ran to the opposite side of the casket. She looked inside and saw a human lying inside the casket whose body was cold all through like one who is dead.

Moreover, inside the casket, she saw another switch. She was already overshadowed with fears. She knew there was no way she was going to escape from the mask man. Her only hope was for someone to come rescue her.

She also suspected that the human in the casket could be a werewolf. In as much as she doesn't want it, she wished she can re-awaken the werewolf with the hope of being rescued by it.

The mask man became angrier, fierce as he tried to pounce on Lisa. Lisa saw it and became more scared, she now knows she has been dealing with a lunatic.

As the masked man attempted to catch her, she pressed the switch in the casket, and immediately the top of the mountain opened.

The full moon rays down straight into the casket all over the body of the dead man.

Both Lisa and the masked man stood still in awe at the sight of it. The dead man inside the casket gradually regained his strength, stood up and was gradually transforming into a wolf.

Lisa knew she had made the biggest mistake of her life, she ran immediately to hid herself at a corner. He transforms fully into a wolf.

The masked man immediately ran to attack the werewolf, who has become fully transformed on sighting the masked man. They both engaged in a fierce battle while Lisa stood afar and was watching.

The werewolf howled as the fight continued. “I'll sure send you back to where you belong”, the masked man boasted.

After a long fight, the werewolf succeeded in killing the masked man. Exhausted, he could barely walk. Crawling and struggling to stand on his feet, he stretch forth his hand towards Lisa and fell down unconsciously. He transformed back into a human.

Lisa, who was still occupied with fear as she, tried to tip-toed herself out of the room, got a reply from the werewolf,

“I wouldn't do that if I were you, You don't know what awaits you outside”, the werewolf advised.

Lisa was shocked as she immediately stopped her movement and stood at a spot.

“You can spend the night here, it's not safe outside, there could be vampires out there, and you may not survive another attack. Don't worry, I promise not to hurt you”, the werewolf said, trying to convince her to stay.

“I can't stay here with you, my dad is out there, and he needs me”, Lisa replied.

“If your dad was bitten by that vampire, I bet you your dad would have transformed into a vampire long ago,” werewolf insisted.

Lisa, who has developed little courage, and now interacting with the werewolf, pleaded, saying “Can you please show me the exit out of this cave?" She requested, the werewolf showed her a pathway.

“Go, go through that pathway, and you'll find your way out of here”, He directed.

“Thank you”, Lisa replied as she immediately headed to the pathway.

“Humans, they never listened”, the werewolf said.

Lisa finally came out from the cave. She was happy she is out of the cave but sad as thoughts kept on spinning in her head what would have happened to her dad.

She immediately ran to the spot where their car parked, searching for her dad. On arriving at the spot, her dad was nowhere to be found. She screamed aloud as tears rolled downed her eyes.

After a deep search for her dad that turned out fruitless, she decided to return to the cave where the werewolf was and spend the night there. She arrived in the cave and met the werewolf still lying down on the floor.
