The Fifth Catastrophe God

The ball of stone chunks where Carter was imprisoned was suddenly shaking a lot. The rocks bursted into tiny pieces of stones as Carter escaped from it.

“There is no way you can take me down that easily Aminus! Show yourself and don’t be a coward!” Carter shouted, he got angry and was eager to fight no matter what happened. He was determined to defeat the fifth God Animus

“Don’t get too cocky. You haven’t seen how a God fights seriously. Animus said calmly with pride.

“A mortal cannot survive without the presence of air.” Animus said as he cast a spell that takes all the air around the place.

Carter cannot breathe he thought that it was the end but just like a candle, when a candle was blown it loses its bright burning warm fire. But it only needs a fire to be lit again. He remembered that every person that he loved, even his friend, believed on him.

Carter slowly casted a spell as he slowly choked since the presence of air was not around.

“B-B-BREATHE! OF L-LIFE !” Carter screamed as he tried to catch his breath while casting a spell.

The spell was used to provide the right condition for its user making any place suitable for life. The spell also increases the speed of its user and strength. The downside of this spell is it slowly reduces the mana of its user.

“I need to defeat him before my mana runs out.” Carter told himself.

“Pretty neat skill mortal. But it is not enough to defeat a God like me!” Animus screamed as he started to fight him with more effort than before.

Animus throwed very big chunks of stone again with a faster speed than before but Carter’s speed was at its peak. He minced the big chunks of rocks at the speed of Sound. Animus then used the lava pool to burn Carter but Carter moved so fast that Animus could barely see him and attack him.

“Stop moving around!” Animus shouted as he casted a spell that covered the whole place in lava.

It stopped Carter from moving but it didn’t burn him as it is also one of the abilities of the spell he casted earlier. Animus was surprised that it didn’t burn Carter but he saw that he was at advantage as it slowed Carter's movement by a lot. He throws more rocks to Carter but with a greater speed than before as he combines air within every rock. He lit those rocks on fire with the use of his ability. Carter casted a spell to stop it.

“OBLITERATE!” Carter screamed. The rocks disappeared from the hit of his attack but the multiple sharp pointy rocks emerged from the ground suddenly and stabbed different parts of Carter's body.

Carter coughed a lot of blood but it didn’t stop him. He removed the sharp pointy rocks around him 1 by 1 but he didn’t remove it fast enough, Animus got his sword that was hidden from the ground. It was a sword made from a star that could literally delete anything that gets in contact with it.

Animus prepared his battle stance as he rushed towards Carter while he was aiming the sharp sword through Carter's heart.

He rushed through Carter but suddenly Carter disappeared. The sharp pointing rocks that stabbed Carter were left where Carter was standing before. Animus was surprised by what he saw. He didn’t realize that it was all Carter’s plan to make his mood calmer than before so his attacks, strength, and speed drops.

Carter was faster than before because his movement passed the speed of sound, He moves at the speed of light now. He sneaked on Animus' back and used his sword as he pierced Animus' heart. A burst of flame was coming out from Carter’s sword that turned Animus' whole body into ashes.

As Animus turned into ashes. Carter was brutally wounded. He dropped the breath of life he casted earlier. Carter’s body felt more pain as the spell disappeared since the spell increased his strength and speed for only a short period of time.

He dropped into the ground as he cannot stand up properly. He was tired and exhausted from the fight.

Carter saw a small floating ball of light from where Animus body was killed. It was small yet it glowed so bright. Carter heard a voice as he looked at the ball of light.

“It’s the soul of Animus Carter. Eat it so you can gain his powers.” Zudnir said, he was happy that Carter is slowly fulfilling the tasks that he didn’t got to finish

As Carter ate the ball of light he felt so much energy and power that he not only regained his strength but he became stronger than before.

He took some rest from the Animus chamber as he knew he can’t take a fight with the fourth God just yet.

He slept for a while. There was no day nor night where Gods lived.

Carter woke up feeling more refreshed from the last fight he tested how Animus power works. He didn’t know that he practiced Animus power for a day yet he mastered Animus power already. Carter took some rest again as he realized that he was practicing for a while now.

He practiced and rested enough. The time has come. Carter was scared and discouraged to fight as he barely survived the fifth God but he knows that there is no time to be discouraged now as the Gods know that Carter defeated the fifth God.
