The First Catastrophe God

Carter woke up, he didn’t know if he won. All he can remember is when Alexis talked about killing his grandma.

He saw a flying light like an orb which was the soul of Alexis. Alexis’s soul was so bright since blue fire was lighting it. He realized that he won since Alexis’s soul was showing up.

“I guess I will camp here for a while to recover from my wounds.” Carter told himself.

The silence of the whole palace was so loud that it almost made Carter deaf. The cold breeze was whistling in Carter’s ear.

While Carter was taking a rest, He felt a bursting aura of anger around.

When Carter stood up since he was disturbed a electric type of seal put Carter’s hand and feet together. It made Carter fall to the ground.

“How dare you try to disturb the balance? You don’t know what you’re doing mortal. Let me show you what actually happens when the world gets out of balance.” said the unknown voice.

Carter looked at him with disgust on his face.

“You all deserve to die! That is not what you called balance! You're slaughtering innocent humans!” Carter screamed, he was biting his lips that it bled out,he was very mad just looking at him.

“I’m gonna kill you Nexus!” Carter screamed as he tried to break free from the seal spell of Nexus

Carter was shocked and was paralyzed from moving.

“There is no way that you can escape my seal. Stay still and listen if you don’t want to die yet.” Nexus said.

Carter cannot do anything since he was paralyzed.

Nexus started to explain everything about what they called “balance”.

Nexus held Carter’s head as he was teleported inside a realm.

Nexus realm was full of harmony, Trees were everywhere, humans and other animals didn't eat one another yet they were happy. The weather was warm and rainy sometimes.

“You see Carter, this is what balance looks like. It is full of harmony, happiness and peace but as organisms increase one will always try to be superior to another. This is when prey and predator were made since every organism will need to survive, competition will be a thing. But competition was not always balanced. Humans were always superior to the other living things. As humans produce their intellect and power grows, that is true but as the human population grows rapidly they need to improvise. All they care about is their survival to the point that they do not care about those affected by their doings. If this goes on and on, balance will be destroyed. If balance is destroyed then everything will be in chaos. If there is chaos, the chaos Gods will be reborn which we leaders of catastrophe are trying to stop from happening. Chaos Gods get stronger and stronger as they feed from unbalanced environments. They exist once but we killed them since all they did was destroy and destroy. The fight can’t be won so we Gods decided to seal them. As they get stronger and stronger from the unbalance, soon they will break free from our seal. They destroy for chaos while we destroy for balance. We both do the same thing but we do it by different will and means. If you want to help me sustain those God of chaos, then come and be the second catastrophe God since you already proved your worth.” Nexus tried to persuade Carter to join him.

Carter saw everything that it made him think if he should continue fighting for his race or if he should help Nexus to restore the balance. But after a while of thinking he decided that he should not be tricked by the sweet words of Nexus.

Carter was on the ground still trying to break free from Nexus spell but he can’t even though he did everything he can.

“Decide now or I will s*******r you too. It would be wise to join me rather than trying to defeat someone that is impossible to defeat.” He smirked looking at Carter dead in the eye.

“I would rather die than help you succeed with your nasty plans Nexus!” Carter shouted at his face.

With so much rage he tried transforming with his blood like armor form but he can’t since Nexus sealing spell stopped him.

I guess I need to kill you after all.

A shining sword covered in purple fire emerged from the ground.

“Let me introduce you to my sword. I call it the illusioner, one s***h from this sword can kill its target. Once you were hit by this sword you will be filled with happy dreams that you won't even know that you’re killed” Nexus said, his eyes were glowing like a kid who’s seen a big present at their christmas tree.

“This is the first time that I will actually test this sword since no one has ever reached me.” Nexus said, examining his sword.

As Nexus was about to use the sword to remove Carter’s head a flash faster than light itself came and stopped Nexus from slashing Carter head off.

A handsome man with a very masculine physique showed up on the battlefield.

“Am I late or am I just in time?” The unknown person said.

“I am pretty sure you can recognize my voice Carter” The unknown voice said as he glanced at Carter smiling.

“It's you!” Carter said.
