The Match

Lily's POV

After giving Lex a quick kiss and assuring him that I will be fine, I clambered in the ring. I could hear everyone talking around me. Blue Moon has full faith in me and Black Stone basically thinks this is a joke. I can't blame them, they don't have female warriors and from the "warm" greeting I got from the queen I know why.

I try blocking everyone else clearing my head and calming my mind. Being sent out to travel and learn different fighting techniques the most important for all of them is fighting with a clear head. You don't want to fight with emotions, being to emotional can cause you to make a mistake.

James gets in the ring with me and Beta Bryce goes over the rules. Watching James he has a cocky smirk, being over confident will be his downfall. When Bryce is finished the rules we start circling eachother. This goes on for a while getting a feel for the ring and watching James is movements looking for any weak spots.

I can see James getting angry because I haven't made the first move. As a warrior you never want to make the first move. We circle again as I watch his footing, I spot a slight limp in his left leg. To most they wouldn't see it, if you blinked you would miss it, it must be from an old injury that didn't heal properly. I come up with a plan, 'You think that will work?' I asked Gem. You can see her big wolfy grin, knowing she likes it I put my plan in action.

I make the first move and lunge for his legs, I know he is going to jump trying to avoid me. As expected he does so I quick and tuck my head into a summersult. I pop right back up behind before he can fully find his footing and turn to my I drop and sweep his feet out from under him causing him to fall flat on his back.

I back up and give him room to get to his feet and reset. I know I could have finished him there but I want to see how these guys fight. Lex said he is one of the best, so I'll play with him and see what he comes back with. I think to myself.

I keep my back to him I can feel him getting ready to come for me again so I just let him come. Closing me eyes I just feel everything around me I concentrate on the vibration of the floor. I push everything else away, the soft breeze blowing, the birds chirping, the warriors around me. I take a deep breath and center myself waiting for the impact.

James pounces and tackles me from behind I let him take me down. I want to see what he is going to do if he thinks he has me. we tumble to the ground as he lands on top of me. He has his whole body weight on top of me f**k he is heavy I feel like I have Tommy on top of. This made me smile thinking of that morning playing around with my brother.

Bring myself back I watch as he brings his fist down to connect with my side. 'Okay that hurt!' I said to Gem but I won't show him that. James goes to pull his fist back to hit me again. Before he gets the chance to strike again I pull the same move I did with Tommy, I throw my hips and launching him off me. I push my legs all the way up throwing myself into a handstand and gracefully dropping back to my feet.

Lunging at him I use my agility and speed to land a bunch of punches to his stomach and chest while sending a feel kicks to his legs. He tries to throw a few punches of his own and kicks which he doesn't land a single one.

As his movements start to slow I know he is wearing himself out. Being as big as this dude is throwing punches that don't connect to anything is just waisted energy and is making his attack sloppy. I jump up when he tries to sweep my feet out when he moves but up I use the opportunity to send a roundhouse kick to his head, he dropped to the ground with a thud.

Watching James as he gets to his feet and stands to face me once again! You can tell he just gets more pissed off by the second. I look him straight in the eyes all I saw was anger and I think desire. 'Gross' Gem said. 'Agreed'.

'Stop toying with guy I'm bored.' Hayley linked me. I couldn't help but laugh.

'I want to see what he's got he's just mad plus it's no fun if I don't mess with him some.' I linked her back.

While I was linking Hayley I didn't hear James running at me. I throw my arm out and catch him in the stomach, but didn't have the chance to block the fist that was coming at my face. My head snapped to the side and I felt my lip split. 'That's it im done playing.' I said to Gem.

"Oh f**k he's done." I heard Jill say.

I couldn't help the smirk on my face oh she has no idea. I came in with an idea but I think I have something better.

I push James back a step at the same time I flip backwards kicking him under his chin sending him back. I planned out this neat little ninja move I learned. James was back on his feet I must have broke his jaw because now it is sitting at a weird angle. It will heal by the end of the day. He comes barreling back at me, before he can grab me I flip over him putting my hand around his head as I go and using the momentum to throw him across the yard into a tree sufficiently knocking him out.

Claps and cheers go up from the Blue Moon warriors. The Black Stone warriors are kind of just staring at me with their mouths hanging open. I internally roll my eyes these guys need to learn, girls are just as good if not better then them at fighting when given the chance.

'F**k baby that was hot as hell watching you kick his a**! I am hard as all hell right now, which isn't helping being in basketball shorts. If we didn't have to finish training right now I be dragging you back up to our room and show both of us what we have been missing.' Lex said into our link, making me whimper and clench my thighs together.

Lex and I lock eyes as I lick my lips slowly. "Oh honey that was just a warm up. I have a few over moves I'd like to show you later." I told him pulling my bottom lip between my teeth.

I kept my eye locked on Lex my adrenaline running high making me horny as I can't keep my eyes off my mate.

"Congratulations Lily, you are an amazing fighter I can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve for us." Beta Bryce said standing next to me. I jumped a little I didn't even hear him walk up to me.

"Thank you! I look forward to showing you some of the other things I have brought and other stuff I have been working on." I replied shaking his hand.

'These boys have no idea what they are in for with us girls if they truly don't think we can take care of ourselves.' I linked to Jill and Hayley.

Climbing back down from the ring. Beta Bryce yells out for everyone to pair up and start their sparing. Before walking off to get to it all my warriors come up to tell me congratulations and how proud they are of me.

I walk over to where James is still slumped against the tree and slowly wake him. "James!" I say as I shake him slightly, making him slowly start to wake up. "James!" I called once more, causing his eyes to flutter open. "You okay?" I asked, offering my hand to help him up.

"I'm good a bite banged up now thanks to you. You are an amazing fighter." He said taking my outstretched hand. I gave him a smile smile. I noticed his jaw was healed already. It really pays off to be a werewolf.

"Never under estimate the person you are fighting they might be smaller then you or look weaker but you never know what they are capable of." I told him, helping him over to the bench on the side.

Lex comes walking over with with a smiling Jill and Hayley right behind him.

"How you feeling James?" Lex asks with a smile.

"I'm fine my prince. My ego maybe not so much but physically I'm good." James answered with a chuckle.

"I'm glad my mate here didn't leave any lasting damage then." Lex said smiling down at me.

"Mate??" James asked confused then started looking between me and Lex.

"Yes my mate Lily! I believe you were out patrolling the other side of the territory last night when the rogues attacked and you weren't at dinner." Lex said which James nodded.

"Well you missed your new princess save both me and my father. She is a sight to see! " Lex said with so much pride and love in his voice.

"Now my love we have another meeting with my father and we will be having the other packs arriving and we must prepare." He told me as he grabbed my hand and pulled me into his side.

I pulled away from him and gave my girls a hug. "Have fun with the boys ladies. Don't hurt them to bad please!" I told Jill and Hayley as I pulled away from them.

"Alright let's go so I can clean up before we have this meeting I also want to grab a few things to show him." I said walking back up to Lex snaking my arms around his waist. I stand up on my tippy toes and kiss his cheek.

Lex starts leading us back to the palace. Looking around a catch a few she-wolves of Black Stone staring at me. I wonder if training is something they want to do, or if they like the way things are.

Looking up at the palace I catch a glimps of Queen Megan standing in a window looking right at me with a scowl. I ignore her and keep looking around taking in the beauty of the building. I look up at the top and see King Mitchell standing in the window on the top floor he makes eye contact with me and gives a ghost of a smile and a nod of approval. I give a short nod back as he turns away from the window and disappears into whatever room he was in.

I look back towards Lex as we walk hand in hand, he is already looking down at me. I get lost in his beautiful green eyes. Goddess this man is sexy as hell and all mine. My adrenaline is still running high, I give him a lust filled look bitting my bottom lip looking up at him through my lashes.

"Don't give me that look Lily we don't have enough time before the meeting for that." Lex said in a husky voice with a deep chuckle.

"Maybe just a taste?" I stated more then asked tilting my head to the side batting my lashes at him giving an innocent look.

"You my love are going to be the death of me." Lex said leaning in close to my ear nipping at it lightly, making me moan softly.

Lex scoops me up and throws me over he's shoulder. I yelped in surprise but couldn't help but laugh as he started jogging us back to our room. I guess we better make this quick. I thought to myself.
