A Call to Arms

Alpha Eric's POV.

After I left the dining hall I made it up to my office. I have a few things to get in order before I hand the pack over to my eldest son Matthew. I am so very proud of all of my kids. After my beautiful mate and Luna Mary was so violently taken from us they all became so close and helped me keep myself together. If it wasn't for them and the support that we have from all the members in this pack I don't think I would have had the strength to go on as long as I have.

Lily and me have gotten extremely close. Not only because she is my only daughter, my baby girl but we helped eachother through the grief and the guilt that we both held from that day. I've watched as all my children have grown up. My son Matt, my heir, he has such a strong heart and he leads with it. He has a great head on his shoulders, makes quick decisions but makes sure he tries to see it from all angles. If he really focuses on something he can do anything he puts his mind too.

Then there is Thomas my youngest, my little boy. He is so smart but he can always find the humor in anything. Tom is my trouble maker, always making jokes and playing around. He grounds us and reminds us to take the time to smell the roses. He has such a care free attitude. But he is fiercely protective of the ones he loves.

Lastly my baby girl, my middle child, my Lily bug. She has overcome so much, but she never gave up. She has worked so hard for all she has done. She has become one of our best warriors, she is wicked smart, smarter then me and her brothers put together. The way her mind works astounds me ever day. She has seen the worst side of our world but is still my upbeat, bubbly little girl. Well not so little anymore! The way that she overcomes anything that is thrown at her and she deals with it with this elegance and grace. She is just so much like her mother.

I know she wants to find the rogues that got away and avenge her mother, I just don't want that to be her main focus. Don't get me wrong I know she is powerful being a Gold wolf and all, and with her powers growing everyday. She is still my little girl and being an Alpha my first instinct is to protect, but I know she can handle herself.

Like right now I'm standing at the window in my office that over looks the training grounds. Lily has Ryan in a position that makes me even wince in pain, any male should not bend like that. chuckling to myself I walk over to my desk to get to work. I'm changing everything I have in my name for the pack over to Matthew.

'Ring! Ring!' I hear my phone ringing but can't seem to find it in the mess on my desk. 'Ring! Ring!'.

"F**k alright I hear you!" I complain out loud, as I push all my papers in a big messy pile. 'You i***t you need to be more organized.' My wolf Kane laughs at me. 'Shut up stupid mutt! Who asked you?' I push him to the back of my mind. I finally find my phone and grab it right before the last ring.

"Hello Blue Moon pack this is Alpha Eric how can I help you." I answered. But the voice on the other end of the phone was not one I expected to hear.

"Good Morning old friend, it's Alpha King Mitchell. Do you have time to talk we have bit of an issue I'd like to discuss." Our Alpha King responded. I've known Mitchell for a few years he calls every once in a while when he needs help training some of his warriors.

"Of course your majesty what can I do for you?" I asked.

" You know we have had an increase in rogue attacks and they seem to be growing in numbers. We were just attack last night dash early this morning and we have taken a great hit in our numbers. I am calling around requesting Alphas to send as many warriors as you can spear without leaving your own pack vulnerable. We need to put an end to them." He explained.

Just as I'm about to respond Lily and Matt walk into my office I completely forgot we had a meeting set up. 'Whats wrong dad?' Both of them link me at the same time. 'It's Alpha King Mitchell. They had a rogue attack they need warriors.' I linked to both of them. They look at me at the same time with wide eyes.

"Of course I have a list right here let me take a quick look." I said

'Dad you have to let me go. I can be a big help to them. Send Jill. Hayley, and myself. We are all at the top in training and work well as a team. You know we are the best hackers and they can help me make the truth serum I've been perfecting.' Lily linked me. I know she's right but she's my baby how am I supposed to throw her to the wolves like that. I know she wants the avenge Mary but can I really let her go?

After a few minutes of looking at our list of warriors. 'We have to let her do this she will never move on if we don't.' Kane says with a sad Wolfe grin. 'Your right we have to let her do this no matter how much it kills me to let her go.' I told him

"Alright your majesty I will be able to send you 50 men but I will also be sending you my daughter and two other females with them. They will be a great asset to you!" I tell the King. I look up from my computer and see the most beautiful and biggest smile on Lily's face, but Matt is absolutely fuming.

'She will be alright you know she can take care of herself. Kane even agreed we have to let her do this or she will never let it all go.' I linked to Matt. He released a long sigh and nods his head. 'I know!' Is all he says.

"They can be there in two days but you must make sure they have separate sleeping quarters then the men."

"Of course we will make them up rooms in the palace." He told me. "If that's not to much trouble." "No, no its fine. Thank you Alpha we will see your men in two days." We said our goodbyes as I turn back to my children.

"Oh my Goddess I have to go pack. Thank you dad." Lily said as she ran for the door. As the door closes behind her Matt turns back to me.

"I know it's the right thing to do but I can't help the feeling that I just want to lock her up." Matt said. I chuckled, " You know she will know your coming before you get close enough and even if you do she will levitate you a** out the window before you could lay a hand on her." Matt full on belly laughs at this.

"Oh I know we were play fighting the other day and I accidentally ripped her shirt she got so mad at me she lifted me and stuck me up in the tree by the school house, you know the really tall one." He shivered. I couldn't help but laugh, Matt hates heights. " I literally had to beg her to get me down and promise to buy her a new one." He rolled his eyes.

"Alright! Alright! Alright! Let's get down to business. Who are we sending?" I asked Matt. He just looked at me for a second then a huge grin appeared.

"You are taking over in two weeks you need to make the call." After I said the a sad look went across his face. "What's wrong?" I asked with concern.

"With sending Lily to go she is going to miss my Alpha ceremony." The realization hit me. I got up from my chair and walked around my desk to give Matt a hug. "I know you want everyone there but Lily needs this maybe I can talk to Alpha King Mitchell and see if she can come back for the ceremony and then go back. We are only a couple of hours from the Royal Black Stone pack." I said, you can see the hope in his eyes. "We will deal with it when it comes okay?" I asked, he just nodded his head.

"So who are we sending?" I asked him. We spent the next 4 hours deciding who to send with the girls. After everything was finalized I rubbed my eyes and looked at the clock I can't believe its already 10 o'clock. I stand a stretch my back. "Let's send out a pack wide link to meet in the back garden so we can let everyone know what's going on." Matt suggested. "Sounds great!" I sit back down and close my eyes linking the whole pack takes a lot out of me.

"Good evening Blue Moon I would like everyone to meet in the back garden in 10 minutes we have something urgent that needs to be discussed. Thank you." I open my eyes and go to stand but me head spins so I sit back down for a second. "You good dad?" Matt asked. " Yea let's head out." We make it down to the back garden we have a little stage set up here for pack meetings.

It is the best spot it is so relaxing. Mary had this garden put in when she became my Luna. This garden means a lot to the pack we made a memorial for her here so it's like she is always with us. Her and Lily spent some much time planting all of these flowers. There are roses, orchids, lavender, tulips, and of course lilies. Lilies we always her favorite flowers.

As I climb up on stage I feel Matt, Lily and Tom right behind me as they walk up on stage.

"Thank you all for coming at such a late hour I know most of you would like to get to bed so I will make this as short as I can." I started "The Royal Black Stone pack called earlier today! They were attacked last night by rogues and lots a great deal of their men. They have requested us to send help to protect their pack as well as to help end these filthy rogues." I continued, " Being one of the largest and strongest packs me and your soon to be Alpha Matthew have come to a decision that we will be sending the 50 men with our numbers we will still be secure to take care of ourselves. We are also sending Lily, Jill, and Hayley! They will be great assets to them and will help them move forward in securing their borders as well as ours are." I possed for the cheers, I turn and give Lily a wink. I am so proud of her.

"I'll wrap this up Alpha Matthew and I have come up with a list of warriors that will be going we will post it around the pack so everyone can get a look to see who is going. It is our honor to help our royal family. The warriors that have been chosen will have to leave in two days so spend them with family. This is not goodbye it is see you later, because all of you will be coming back when this threat is dealt with. I have the utmost faith in our warriors you have been trained well. That is all for now if there is any questions feel free to come talk to any of us. Have a good night and get some rest." I finished.

As I'm climbing down from the stage Lily attacks me in a big bear hug. " I love you so much dad!" She whispered. "I love you to Lily bug. Now let's go get some rest the next couple of days are going to be crazy. I kissed the top of her head as we made our way back into the pack house.
