Happy Birthday

Lily's POV

"Wake up! Wake up! Waaaake up!" My younger brother Tommy yells as he jumps on me in bed.

" Could you shut up for like 5 more minutes." I said as I try to push his heavy body off of me.

"Nooooope!" He said popping the 'P'

"It's your birthday so let's go! Everyone is down stairs waiting for you. Come on lazy bones let's go!" He screams right in my damn ear.

I bucked my hips and throw my body in to a handstand on the bed. I flip off the bed and land on my feet. He's still not as strong as me as he hasn't gotten his wolf yet.

See you aren't supposed to connect with your wolf until your are 16 and you can't shift until you are 18 its also when you can meet your mate. Tommy will be 16 this year but not for another month, but today is my 18th birthday and it's supposed to be the first time I get to shift into Gem, my wolf. We told the pack after that dreadful day so they all know that I have already shift and have had Gem since I was 10 years old. After everything that happened to mom Gem wouldn't give me back control for almost 3 days she kept trying to go after the men that killed our mother. It took my dad and both my brothers to convince Gem to give control back to me, convincing her that we can do it together.

They are also the only ones that know I'm the gold wolf no one outside of the pack knows. We have learned about gold wolves in school. At least from what we learned in school about them is that there is only one born every few hundred years to bring peace. Usually when one is born it means there is a great war coming. But the thing is no one knows when or who the war will be against. Gold wolves have powers and this calming sense to them to help calm any beast. We are powerful and apparently have some extra strength, but when we meet our mate if we are lucky enough to find them we can share our gifts with our mate chosen or fated. But will be much stronger with our fated mate.

I hear groaning coming from the side of the bed where I throw Tommy off breaking me from my thoughts. He slowly gets up to his feet and starts to come after me. I do a quick back flip and book it to the bathroom I have attached to my room and lock the door. Right before it fully clicks lock there is load banging coming from the other said. I can't help but laugh at how easy it is to rile up my little brother.

"I'll get you for that!" Tommy yells from the other side of the door before stomping out of my room.

I love my bathroom it is my safe haven, my own little get away from all the men around me. It has a huge walk in shower with a rainfall shower heads glass walls, a big jacuzzi tub sits in the middle with massaging jets all the way around, a double his and her sink, heated floors and it is all done in a beautiful blue and gray marble. I just can't help how relaxed this bathroom makes me, but I don't have time to relax even though my tub is calling my name. I just jump in to take a quick shower before dad gets mad that I'm not downstairs yet.

After my quick shower I run into my walk in closet and pull out a black and blue sports bra with matching thong, a black pair of Victoria secret leggings and a black hoodie to throw over top and throw my long curly dirty blonde hair up in a high ponytail to keep it out of my face. I've really filled out as I've gotten older. my boobs are a 38 D. I have a small waist and a nice butt if I do say so myself. I'm about 5ft 4' tone legs and a 4 pack of abs. Since mom's death I have dedicated most of my time to training I can beat every warrior we have. I've also been training with throwing knives, swords, and also guns. you can never be to prepared.

In school I really excelled in chemistry. Over the last few years I have developed a mixture that mimics a truth potion but you have to be specific of the questions you ask you can't be to broad. I've also been working on a few other things but they are still in the works. While in school I also took to computers I learned how to hack into just about anyone's. Let me tell you, you do not want to know what I found on both my brother's computers. Let's just say I had to wash my eyes out with soap after seeing that.

Over the last few years since Gem came to me I figured out that I have some powers. The first one I came into I was out hanging out with my friend Jill, we were running around with my brother Tommy and his friend Kyle and I heard Kyle's thoughts about Jill and how pretty she was. I kind of outed him for it let's just say he was not to happy and really embarrassed. I didn't know someone's face could be that red. Plus I know Jill is still secretly in love with Harry, Gamma Luke's son.

My second power is that I can levitate things. I was in my dad's office with my older brother Matty and dad talking about patrols and other security measures we can take to protect the pack, I was in the middle of telling them about an app I've been working on. When dad went to move his computer so I could show them, all of the papers on my dad's desk where going to fall but when I went to catch them, they started floating when I freaked they went flying everywhere. We also found out the I'm immune to silver, wolfbane, and nightshade. We do training with them so we can build up an immunity to them by giving a little to a warrior and letting their wolf clear it out of their system as fast as they can and then we do a little more and build from there. We start doing that training at 17, but in really small doses. We start training at least the basics at 12 so if we are every stuck we can at least defend ourselves.

We aren't sure if I will come into anything else as I get older, but as the text said no gold wolf is the same and there is a wide range of powers I could have, so only time will tell.

I finish getting ready and run down the stairs of the pack house my room along with my dad's and brothers are on the top floor, Beta Michael and his mate Sarah are on the third floor, the second floor is supposed to be the Gamma's floor but Gamma Luke and his mate Kimberly moved out when they had their twins Damon and Kelly, they wanted more privacy then they got living in the pack house. Since they already had Harry they wanted more room for all the kids. Then there is the main floor where we have everything that you can think of. there is a game room it's literally like going to an arcade, a theater, an indoor gym, and even a spa. Let's not forget the best part and of course my favorite the kitchen. The kitchen has stainless steal all around appliances stocked to the teeth with any food you could ever want and with Auntie May in there cook my Goddess it's where you want to be.

Auntie May is the head omega that works in the kitchen. She is the sweetest women ever. She knows everyone's name and she can just look at a person and know what they want to eat. It's like she is a mind reader for food. She has taught me everything there is to cooking and baking. My favorite is this chocolate cake she makes with buttercream icing. Just thinking about it has my mouth watering.

I walk into the dining hall and look around all of the long tables. The dining hall is packed this morning. I spot my dad at the head of one of the table with my brothers. We don't have a special table for us we want the pack to know we are no better then any of them, but dad always has the head of any of the tables out of respect for him being our Alpha. Being Alpha doesn't mean we are better then anyone we are all people, we'll wolves, but we are just one big family in this pack.

I grab my plate and start to fill it. Grabbing some bacon toast and some scrambled eggs. I don't want to eat to much since we are about to have training. As I'm about to approach the table Auntie May comes bursting out of the kitchen and everyone starts singing happy birthday to me. Auntie May comes up to me holding a chocolate cupcake with blue Buttercream icing and a candle sticking out of it.

" Thank you everyone!" I say loud enough so the whole room can hear me, after they are done singing.

I take the cupcake and give Auntie May a big hug and move to take me seat. As I grab my moms necklace that hangs around my neck and know she is with me. I miss her so much especially on days like today. I look up and see my dad and brothers looking at me they all have a knowing look on their faces and give me a sad smile.

"Here Lils happy birthday!" Matty said as he hands me a gift bag.

I pull out all the tissue paper to pull out a sketchbook. I look at it confused. I don't sketch! "Just open it up... Would you!" He says with a chuckle. I flip it up and what I see brings tears to my eyes. It is a beautiful drawing of a triple moon with a gold wolf howling at it. the triple moon is exactly like the one that mom wore on her necklace that she said has been pasted down in her family for years she never took it off. The same necklace that I always wear.

I throw my arms around Matty. " Thank you so much Matty it's beautiful. Where do you think I should get it?" I have always wanted a tattoo I just never had the drawing of what I wanted. " How about your back? I can take you later tonight to get it done." He replied with a watery smile. I know he is thinking about mom. I just hug him tighter and say, "sounds great thank you" and kiss him on the cheek.

"Me next!" I look to see Tommy bouncing in his seat. He is always so happy I can't help the giggle and big smile that graces my lips.

"Here big sis I hope you like it!" Tommy says with a huge grin, while handing me a wrapped box, which I know one of his little girlfriends helped him wrap. I rip it open and find a steering wheel cover. I look up at him with a questioning look. His smile just grows.

"Alright Lily bug time for my present!" Dad said clapping is hands together and reaching under the table. He pulls his hands back up with a little black box.

"Think fast!" He says as he throws it to me. I catch it with easy and open it. Inside the box is a key. I look up at my dad with wide eyes. "Is this what I think it is?" I ask with so much hope. " Go out front and look." He tells me with amusement shines in his voice. As he chuckles at my excitement.

I jump up from my seat and bolt for the doors. I dash through the dining hall through the door down the hall, past the sitting room and out the front door. As I past pack members the just shake the heads and laugh at me as I pass them. I burst through the front door and sitting there in front is a fully restored 1969 royal blue challenger, fully decked out with tinted windows, black leather seats. I pop the hood and it's completely rebuilt motor with a turbo and a manual transmission. OH MY GODDESS I'M IN LOVE.!!

I turn around and see dad standing at the front door I run and jump in his arms. "I love it soooo much. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I tell him. "Anything for you Lily bug!" He says hugging me tighter.
