Who Can Be Trusted

Lily's POV

After Lex showed me to our room. OH MY GODDESS OUR ROOM. It sounds so weird. I told him about being the gold wolf and my powers but I didn't go into detail about when I shifted or my mom. I had to tell him some since I caught a couple of his thoughts and he's my mate and I trust him.

Following our little heated session, Lex rushed me out of the room and basically dragged me to his dad's office for this meeting. After hearing what dad has told the Alpha King about us we wanted to show him a little bit of what we can do.

So after I scolded Hayley about them not knowing who I am yet, plus I don't fully trust all the men in this room yet especially Roman. I get this weird vibe from him. Gem agrees that we need to watch him.

"Before we start can we do introductions I don't believe I've met everyone one yet?" I asked softly.

"Oh I'm sorry you and Lex were last here. You met Gamma Zach out front but this is his son Adam. Beta Bryce and his son Noah. And you have already met my other son Roman."

"May I?" I asked King Mitchell.

"By all means." He replies. I bow my head quickly in respect and grab the cuffs.

"Alright Hayley hands out." I tell her, as I walk up to her and put the cuffs on her. She flinch a bit when I put them on you can smell the burning flesh as I put them on her.

"This is the effect all wolves have to silver when it touches skin." I stated, as I remove the cuffs. " Give her a moment to heal, but as Hayley is healing she will take the elixir. Hayley! I nod at her to go ahead and she downs the vile. "The elixir only takes about 5 minutes to take affect. That will be just enough time for her to heal fully. This elixir lasts 24 hours and will allow her to be resistant to sliver."

By the time I am done explaining she is fully healed and the elixir should be in effect.

"Arms out please." I ask Hayley again. She puts her hands out and I attach the cuffs again. This time nothing, no burning no pain. "We also have a few other things we have been working on." I say as I take the cuffs back off her and go take my seat again.

"That's amazing!" Zach said.

"Alright ladies I don't usually allow she-wolves to fight but seeing as you are here and come with such high praise I see no reason why you can't train with the rest, but be careful my men and I know some other packs that are sending warriors don't allow she-wolves to train. But seeing as you have other things to offer I want to set up a lab for you to work in. Alpha Eric also provided a preview of some of the security you have at home I would like to talk to you about some we might be able to use here later on." King Mitchell says.

As King Mitchell is talking I listen in on everyone's thoughts see who is loyal. Your inner thoughts will always give away a traitor.

'Wow these girls are crazy smart. I've told him a thousand times we need to up security!' Gamma Zachs thoughts.

'Goddess my best friend is one lucky bastered with a mate as hot and smart as Lily. I wonder what else she can do in training she is going to make a great Luna Queen.' Noah's thoughts.

'Damn what else can these chick's do. That was some crazy s**t that girl Hayley barley flinched when Lily put the silver on her.' Beta Bryce.

'None of the women in our pack would have anything to do with this stuff. This is going to be interesting.' Adam's thoughts.

'F**k that was so hot I just need to figure out how to get Lex out of the way and I can take Lily as mine and take over as the next King. Mom won't be happy about Lily but f**k it I want her.' Roman's thoughts. and just as I thought he needs to go.

I don't need to read the King we will see how it goes after the meeting. We will see where he stands then. But Roman needs to go before we talk further about what we have. My girls know everything but to figure everything out and what fight or fights we have ahead of us everyone else needs to know.

"My King there is a matter I must talk to you and the ranked members about if that is alright?" I gently asked.

"Of course! Roman will you take the ladies on a tour of the palace." The King ordered. Roman just looked at him like that is beneath him but grumbled a "Sure dad." and headed for the door. I linked the girls and let them know what's going on. We don't hide anything in our pack we are very open with everything and everyone has eachothers backs.

'I just want to tell them I'm the gold wolf. I read Roman, I don't trust him. He wants to be King so I don't know what he will do. Keep an eye on him and I will update you as we go. Go find our warriors and fill them in.' I linked them both, I got to firm nods in return as they went to leave.

After they closed the door and I was sure they were far enough away. I turned back to everyone in the room.

"May I have the floor your majesty?" I ask.

"Go ahead but since you are mated to my son behind closed doors please call me Mitchell." He said with a warm smile. I returned his smile.

"I wasn't going to do this right away but since finding out I am mated to Lex I think it is more of a pressing matter." I started, Lex grabbed my hand for support. I took a deep breath and continued, "I am the Gold Wolf." I paused so it could sink in.

Mitchell's head shot up and I heard a few gasps. "I have a few powers, but I don't know if I will develop more. Over the last few years they have gotten stronger. That is why I am immune to silver which is why I don't carry a vile, but I am also immune to wolfbane." I continued

"That makes a lot of sense. What other powers do you have if you don't mind me asking." Noah asked looking at me in awe. I heard a small growl next to me so I just put my hand on Lex's leg to calm him down a bit.

"So far like I said immunity to silver and wolfbane but I can also read minds and I can levitate things. From what I have read it is possible to come into more powers after meeting your mate. Also that when Marked and Mated my mate should it have been chosen or fated my mate will share in my powers." I blushed at that and Lex's hold on me tightened at the mention of a chosen mate.

"How do we know you are telling the truth? who else knows of your existence?" Bryce asked, always has to be cautious. I understand I'm new coming into this they just met me.

"Do you like heights Beta?" I asked Bryce with a slight smirk. He just looked at me with wide eyes. "Not really!" He said. I just smiled sweetly at him and started to lift the chair he was sitting on. "No! No! What are you doing?" He shouted as his nails came out and dug into the arm of the chair.

Everyone started laughing at him as he held on for dear life. I couldn't help but giggle as I started to lower him back down.

"Did you enjoy your ride?" I asked trying to contain my laughter, my sides started to hurt. Oh the look on his face just made me laugh harder. Man if looks could kill I would be 6ft under. This just made me think of Matty and I got this sudden wave of sadness thinking of home. I will have to remember to call them later.

"Would you like to test the mind reading? I already know the choice words your Beta has for me at the moment." I said with a chuckle as he glared at me.

"Pain in the a** kids." Bryce grumbled, which just made everyone chuckle.

"No that is quite alright. But now that we know we will have to do some research. I know that there will be a war but there is no telling who it will be against. We will also have to keep this information to us in this room because if word got out that could put Lily in a lot of danger. Who else knows you are the Gold Wolf." Mitchell asked.

"My whole pack knows sir." He looked at me with a frowned brow.

"If anyone in my packed wanted to hurt me or take me away they would have a long time ago." I said looking down at the floor like it is the most interesting thing.

"What do you mean?" Lex asked this time tilting my head up to look at him, and gave a soft smile.

"I don't know if word of the attack on my pack 8 years ago got back to the palace or not." I said.

"It did and we heard the your mother was killed and that you were there but nothing else was reported."Mitchell told me.

Taking a deep breath of my mates calming warm apples and cinnamon scent be fore I started.

"8 years ago Blue Moon was attacked by rogues My mom and I were out on our normal Friday picnic we never went far into the woods. We have a beautiful river that runs throw our pack where we always went. When the alarm sounded we were to far from the pack house to make it to the bunker, so my mom dipped me into the river to hide my scent and pushed me up into a tree near by." I paused and took a shaky breath. It always hurt to think of that day.

"2 of our patrolman came, they were the men that were stationed in that area, and stood with my mom when the rogues arrived, they said they were looking for her. I don't know why they never said. There was fighting but being up in the tree I couldn't really see. When everything went quiet I thought it was over so I started to climb down, when I got closer i saw the men that were with my mom dead on the ground, but I should have climbed back up but i didn't. That's when I saw a rogue holding my mom they ripped her arms off and then her head. That day was the day I first shifted into Gem. We killed one rogue but the others got away." Lex tilted my head up again and wiped a tear I hadn't realized had fallen.

"When the rest of our men made it to us, they were already to late. Mom was killed and the others ran off. After that day Gem wouldn't give me back control for 3 days. We couldn't hide it from the pack. After my mother was killed the pack really became close. We share everything and we protect our own. We fight and train as one, everyone even the Omegas. My mom was a trained fighter and even with the help of some of our men it wasn't enough. So since then everyone trains even some pups in basic defense." I finished. Lex wiped more tears that fell and gave me a light kiss on the lips.

"I am so sorry love." Lex pulled me into his chest.

"We understand. Thank you for sharing that. Alpha Eric said you needed this now I understand what he meant by that. You are the only one that saw the other rogues that were there." Mitchell stated. I just nodded my head in agreement. When I looked up at him I know he saw determination in my eyes. I will bring these guys down. Whatever it takes!
