Just The Beginning

Lex's POV

After the alarm was sounded we all got a link saying there is 200 rogues at our northern border. I had Lily climb on my back I know she is worried about showing everyone who she is. She scratches Blaze's ear then climbs on when we feel she is securely on we take off. pounding our paws on the ground making our way to the fight. I wonder how bad it will be this time.

We arrive 5 minutes later as the smell made me want to vomit and you could hear the fighting. Lily slid off our back and crouched down. "I'm good go jump in. I'm going to find a vantage point." She told me as she started to climb the tree infront of us.

It was hard to just leave her because every bone in my body told me to stay and protect her. I watched as she climbed up the tree her a** is an amazing sight. I shake my head got to get my head in the game.

Turning away from my mate I just through to the clearing and get into the fight. Blaze starts ripping rogues apart as we make it through to our men.

I heard a gun shot go off and looked behind me at the dead rogue.

'Thank you baby' I linked her.

'I will always have your back sweetheart.' She replied.

More shots rang out as I made my way through the battle. Coming up to some of the Blue Moor warriors they are tearing through these guys left and right, they are ruthless. A few more shots rang out.

While ripping a rogues head off one catches me off guard and claws down my side ripping me open thankfully it wasn't deep. Next thing I know I see a mess of blonde hair tackling the rogue off of me. Pulling a small blade from a thigh holster she slits the rogues throat.

Jumping off the rogue she runs off to help one of the Blue Moon warriors that has 3 rogues coming at him. She levitates one to her and cuts his stomach wide open spilling his organs. She drops him and moves on. F**k she is a vision, a total bada**.

I catch sight of my dad's wolf, Gunner off to my left he looks like he's hurt. He is surrounded by 8 rogues. I charge in to help together we work in tandem. Snarls, growls, and whimpers ring out from everywhere. One after the other they come after us teeth bared foaming at the mouth. I bite down on one's neck snapping it as I shake my head violently, tossing him to the side another one comes at me I rear up on my hind legs with my claws out coming down on his back. I dig my claws in to get a good grip. I use my body weight to throw us back using my hindlegs I release my hold and kick him off sending him barreling into a tree. The satisfying Crack the comes with it is music to my ears.

Looking around it looks like there are only a couple left and our men are taking care of them.

'Leave on alive.' I linked the warriors there

All of a sudden I am knocked out of the way as Lily uses my back as a springboard flipping over me I turn around to see her driving her blade into a wolf's heart while throwing another blade at a rogue I didn't see coming up behind dad hitting the rogue right between the eyes.

Lily just saved me and my fathers lives neither me or dad saw them coming, f**king basters. Lily comes walking over to me running her hands through my fur. Blaze turned and licked her face making her giggle.

The last of the rogues were taken care of but we kept one alive so we can question him. Dad's wolf Gunner walks up beside us and gives a little bow to Lily in respect and thanks. This is the first time I actually look at her and she is completely covered in blood. I can't hold the whimper that leaves me looking at her. "I good Lex it's not my blood." She smiled sweetly at me.

'Come on babe jump up so we can head back to the palace.' I linked her. She gave a quick nod and hopped up. She put her arms around me neck and we headed back.

'Meeting in my office when we get back.' Dad linked me. I gave a quick 'Okay' back as we made the short run back to the palace.

Coming around we make it to the front. Adam hands me a pair of short in my mouth I run behind a tree, shift back and throw them on.

"Goddess Lily you are a machine and you didn't even shift." I Noah says to her, as I'm walking up the stairs. I let a low growl, I swear I see hearts in Noah's eyes while he is looking at her. They all turn to look at me. Lily has a big smile and Noah and Adam are looking down not wanting to meet my eyes.

I make it to the top where they are stand and walk up behind Lily and wrapping my arms around her waist. I bury my face in her neck and inhale her sweet scent to calm myself a bit. After she felt my body relax she turned her head to the side and gives me a small peck on the lips, which sent sparks running through me.

"We have to go meet my dad in his office." I said to everyone. Adam and Noah turn to head in. "We will be right there." Lily said after them. She turns in my arms and wraps her arms around my neck as much as she could. I love how perfectly she fits in my arms.

"Come here sweetheart." She tells me so I lean my head down to rest my forehead against hers. She pulls me down further and mashes her lips to mine in a hungry kiss.

"mmhmm." I can't help but moan into her lips. when we break apart we are both breathing heavy. "What was that for?" I asked.

She just turned and started walking into the palace. I just stood there a second trying to get my bearings back. F**king tease! Once I full compose myself I walk in after her. I stick my nose in the air trying to find where my little temptress of a mate has gone and followed her scent to my dad's office.

I knock quickly and walk in, he said we were meeting so I didn't have to wait for him to tell me to come in. I spot Lily sitting at the table with everyone else, so I walk up and take my seat next to her.

"How many?" My dad started the meeting asking Zach.

"None on our side. All the rogues but the one we brought back. We have a few injured but none fatal. They are at the pack clinic, should be okay by tomorrow." Zach answered. It's a good thing as werewolves that we heal fast. Like the claws that went down my side that cut should of taken days but only took half an hour.

"Good Blue Moon faught well." Dad said then turned to Lily.

"You young lady are one hell of a fighter. I also owe you a thank you! You not only defended and saved my son your mate but you saved my life as well. Your father said you were a great fighter but it is something to actually see you fight and I wholeheartedly agree." Dad said shocking everyone but me. I guess no one saw what Lily did. I look down at Lily at my side and she has the most adorable blush on her cheeks, I can't help but put my arm around her and pull her into my side.

"No need to thank me sir I did what any warrior would do, protect our King and its future." She told him. I just shook my head.

"if another warrior would have done it they wouldn't have been able to save us both and being mated to my son now puts you in this family as well." Dad argued back

She didn't reply back just nodded her head. Dad gave her a small smile, atleast I know he likes her. I'm eager to see what else she has in stored for us.

"Alright so since we now have two rogues that need to be questioned, let's "welcome' them tomorrow. We start training as a group in the morning. Lilly can you make sure all Blue Moon warriors know what time." Dad said.

"Of course. Sir I would like to join training and so would Jill and Hayley. We always trained at Blue Moon and none of us want to fall off even though we aren't at home." Lily stated

"Sure I don't see an issue with it. If the others are anything like you I think they will handle themselves just fine." Dad told Lily with a soft smile. When did he start smiling so much.

"Well that is all for now go clean up and get some rest. I'll see you all in the morning." Dad dismissed us.

We all got up from the table and started filing out of his office. I grab Lily's waist and lead her out the door.

"I need a shower!" Lily sighed looking down at her dress "Man I really liked this one!"

"I'll get you a new one!" I told her.

"Let's get to our room so we can shower I'm exhausted." Lily started dragging her feet.

I stopped and twisted around scooping her up in my arms. Goddess she feels so good. I press her into my chest and she nuzzles into me.

"I got you baby." I whispered in her ear. I felt her body shiver.

"I can walk you know!" She sassed back titling her head to the side she raised her eyebrow at me.

"Maybe I just like carrying you. I like having you in my arms." I told her leaning in a bit giving her a sweet kiss. I need more, a simple kiss is not enough. I lean in and kiss her a little harder this time.

A throat clearing behind me broke us out of our little moment. I turn around and find Noah with a smirk. "If you two are done I would like to get to my room sometime tonight and you are in the middle of the stairs." He teased. He is so lucky he is one of my best friends. Noah is a chill guy always joking around but knows when to get serious. I love him like a brother, but if he keeps looking at Lily like he wants her to be his I might have to rip his head off.

I look down at Lily as she buries her face in my chest trying to hide her blush.

"Oh just wait until you find your mate dude! you'll understand one taste is so not enough." Lily looked up at me after I said that. I licked my lips. Looking into her eyes you can see the need and desire growing. The gold flakes in her eyes shine a bit brighter as her eyes darken and she bites he low lip.

"Good night you two and don't stay up to late we have training and I'm looking forward to see what else our future Queen has in stored." Noah said walking past us, breaking us out of our trance.

"Night Noah see you in the morning." Lily and I said together.

Walking to the stairs and going up to our room. I sit Lily on the bed and run into the bathroom to start a bath for us.

"I thought you might enjoy a soak. Relax a bit before bed. " I told her as I walked out of the bathroom.

"Sounds great but I'm going to hope in the shower and rinse off all this dirt and blood first." She told me sleepily.

I walk over and scoop her back up and bring her to the bathroom sitting her on the counter and started to help her undress.
