Claire was sent to her hometown. She was advised plenty of bed rest and was still in a daze. No one knew what actually happened in the room. The doctor confirmed she was having illusions and requested that it's essential she rest.
Everyone was convinced except Mia, something told her this wasn't the case, that's why she told Ms Regina, "It doesn't seem right, there is something more."
Mrs Regina dismissed the idea and shook her head with her 'youngsters these days' look but Mia knew she was right, she hadn't believed Claire at first but the Claire she knew wouldn't act this way. Her trouble was new and something external. Her suspicions showed the way to one person, the person after whose arrival everything started. Miss Serra.
...........................................................................
"Serra! It's the time!"
She woke up to the startling voice. It was a dream but she was sweating profusely. Her whole body was soaked in sweat and she could hear her heartbeat. Serra was afraid but she didn't understand why. All of a sudden, she got a headache. It was terrible, she could feel even the tiny veins in her head and the pain was unbearable. She tossed and turned on the bed but she couldn't endure it.
Someone came running to her, her vision was cloudy but she recognised it was Eric.
"What's wrong? Serra!" Eric sounded worried.
She was unconsciously making noises. She couldn't help it.
"My head," She couldn't finish the sentence. The pain worsened when she spoke. She held her head and cried.
Eric carried her in his arms and went downstairs.
"Frederick! Get the car!"
"What happened Eric?" It was Mrs Audrey.. She came running down the hall. Eric was shaking, he was nervous and worried. He didn't respond to his mother instead carried Serra to the car silently. They got into the car and was on the way to the hospital when a worried Serra said, "I'm scared."
Numerous emotions were passing through her body. She felt sad, confused, weak and lonely.
Eric took hold of her hands. He held them tightly which comforted her immediately. He smiled at her and whispered, "Don't be afraid."
Frederick admired the couple from the rear mirror of the car. They were made for each other. He thought. How he wished he would be married to the girl he loved but he didn't have enough courage to even ask her on a date.
At the hospital, the doctors ran all the tests they could think of but they couldn't find what the problem was. Finally, they concluded, this might be stress-related and prescribed some painkillers. There was no proper explanation. She was advised to stay in hospital for a day to analyse her situation. Serra was given sleeping pills and the doctor advised not to disturb her. But Eric wanted to see her.
He entered the room cautiously without making a single noise. The hospital room was dimly lit and Serra was in a deep sleep. Before he went near her, he saw a movement near the bed. He hid behind the bathroom door. A tall figure was standing beside Serra's bed. The person kept his hands on Serra's forehead and was reciting something. Eric was confused about what was happening. A cloud of dark smoke rose up from Serra's forehead and it went into the intruder's forehead. Was this black magic? Whatever it was, Eric knew this was evil. He emerged from his hiding and came closer. It was a woman, he had assumed it was a man because of the height and the structure of the body.
"What do you think think you are doing?" He asked.
The woman disappeared in a puff of smoke without giving any response leaving Eric dumbfounded.
Eric sat down on the chair near the bed. He wasn't going to leave her alone no matter what. Something is bothering Serra and he has to find out what it was. And what was that tall woman? She has to be the reason for Serra's headache. What is she doing with Serra? All these thoughts crossed his mind. To find out the problem, he should know more about Serra, she never spoke much about her. For this, he has to start with the mansion she came to in the west city.
He picked up his phone and dialled John, their company's I.T. guy.
"John, I'll forward you an address can you find out who lives there?"
"Yes sure."
"Make it quick"
After a few minutes, his phone vibrated. It was John.
"Okay, okay, can you get me his number. Yes, w******p the number."
Another beep and he received the number.
He called the number. After a few rings, a tired voice answered.
"Hello."
"Mr Morrison?"
"Yes, I'm Morrison. Who is this?"
"I'm Eric, I want to speak to you about Serra, a girl from dedrum who is here looking for you."
"Dedrum?" He inquired.
"Yes, you were a friend of her mother."
There was no response for a while. Then he said, "Sarah?"
"No, the girl's name is Serra."
"Is her mother's name Sarah?"
"I'm not sure."
"I only know a Sarah from dedrum. But your telling me Sarah's girl is here? Is she looking to join the university?"
"Yes."
"It can't be." He sighed and then continued, "Because I've already met Sarah's girl. Her name was Stella if I remember right."
"But this is Serra. She came looking for you."
"It should be a mistake. Sarah's daughter is not alive. She died in an accident."
"When did she die?
"Almost 20 years back. March 12th, if I'm right. She died on her way to the West city."
"What? Okay, Thank you, sir."
Eric put down the phone. Now he was more confused. Was everything Serra told him a lie? Who is she? He looked at the innocent face.
He googled March 12th, a page of historic events popped up. If it was 20 years ago, it should be the year 1988. He typed March 12th 1988. The search engine showed only the events and deaths of famous people. He tried many ways on March 12th Serra, March 12th 1988 Serra.
He put his phone down. This doesn't work. Suddenly the name Stella crossed his mind.
He typed March 12th 1988 accident Stella. An article popped on the screen.
It wrote, 19-year-old Stella died after a tragic accident close to the people's park near dedrum.
There was a photo of the accident. It was the exact location where Serra ran into his bike. And a photo of the girl who died was published. It was Serra, although she looked different. It was Serra.
