7 DAYS AFTER VLADIMIR'S DEATH._
The city was silent.
Too much silence.
Arina was sitting on the roof.
The Blood Oath mark on her wrist was glowing.
And it was hurting.
Caliban was cleaning a sword down in the lawn.
A silver one.
Arina came down.
"Why is this pain happening?"
Caliban looked up.
His eyes turned gold immediately.
"They are here."
"Who?"
"The Vampires.
Vladimir's 3 brothers.
To take revenge."
_1 AM. ALARM._
_Thak Thak Thak_
From all four sides of the city.
Kian came running.
"Alpha! 300 Vampires!
Attacking from 3 sides!
They are saying 'We will wipe out White Moon'."
Caliban stood up.
He put on his shirt.
A new wound on his chest.
"Arina, stay inside."
"No," Arina said.
"I will also fight."
"You will get hurt!"
"Then I will.
But with you."
Caliban looked at her for 2 seconds.
Then nodded.
"Fine.
Stay behind me."
_THE WAR GROUND. CENTER OF THE CITY._
Fire on 3 sides.
Cars were burning.
Buildings were falling.
In the middle 3 Vampires were standing.
1. _Lucius_ - The oldest.
400 years old.
Red eyes.
Sword in hand.
2. _Marcus_ - The middle one.
Fast.
Scar on his face.
3. _Silas_ - The youngest.
The most dangerous.
Smiling.
"Caliban!" Lucius roared.
"You took blood for our blood.
Now we will take a city for your city."
Caliban stepped forward.
Behind him 50 White Moon wolves.
"This city belongs to innocents," Caliban said.
"If you want war then fight me."
Silas laughed.
"We like innocents.
Their blood is sweet."
And they attacked.
_THE WAR STARTED._
Roar.
Scream.
Fire.
Vampires like lightning.
Werewolves with strength.
Arina picked up the silver dagger.
The one Caliban had given her.
"Guard it," Caliban had said.
And he jumped into the fight.
The first Vampire came.
Arina struck his neck.
Blood.
He fell.
Second came.
Arina struck his back.
He fell.
Third came.
Arina was getting tired.
Then a hand came.
And cut that Vampire into 2 pieces.
Caliban.
Covered in blood.
"I told you to stay behind!"
"You are hurt," Arina said.
"Because of you."
_THE 3 BROTHERS._
Lucius charged straight at Caliban.
Both fought with swords.
_Clang clang clang_
Marcus had already killed 2 wolves.
Silas walked toward Arina.
"Little girl.
You smell good.
Royal Blood."
Arina stepped back.
"Don't come near."
Silas laughed.
"I have been eating girls for 200 years."
He reached out his hand.
Then _Boom_
Caliban came.
And slammed Silas into a wall.
"If you even touch her..." Caliban roared.
"Or what?" Silas got up.
Wiped blood from his mouth.
"I will kill both of you together."
_BLOOD OATH EFFECT._
Caliban was getting hurt.
3 wounds on his chest.
And Arina felt the same pain.
She fell to her knees.
"Caliban..."
Caliban saw her.
He felt her pain.
Double.
He screamed.
And knocked Lucius down with one punch.
Then ran to Marcus.
Broke his neck.
Only Silas was left.
Silas picked Arina up.
Held her throat.
"Now what will you do Alpha?"
Arina couldn't breathe.
Caliban stopped.
"Drop your weapon," Silas said.
"Or I will break her neck."
Caliban dropped his sword.
"Let her go."
"First get on your knees."
Caliban got on his knees.
In the middle of the city.
In front of everyone.
Tears in Arina's eyes.
"No Caliban..."
Silas laughed.
"Very good.
Now die."
He squeezed Arina's throat.
Then Arina opened her eyes.
Her mark glowed.
The moon and wolf one.
The power of the Blood Oath.
She grabbed Silas's hand.
And stabbed her dagger into his heart.
_Thud_
Silas's eyes stayed wide open.
He fell.
Caliban stood up immediately.
Caught Arina.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes... because of you."
_THE FINAL ATTACK._
Lucius stood up.
The last one.
"I will avenge my brothers!"
He charged at Caliban.
Both fought.
The ground shook.
In the end Caliban ripped open Lucius's chest.
Pulled out his heart.
Lucius fell.
"Impossible..."
"Werewolves don't lose," Caliban said.
_AFTER THE WAR._
Morning.
The city was destroyed.
But alive.
20 White Moon wolves were martyred.
100 Vampires were dead.
Arina was sitting with her head on Caliban's shoulder.
Both injured.
Kian came.
"Alpha, we won."
"How much damage?"
"A lot.
But the city survived."
Caliban bandaged Arina's wound.
"You killed 4 today."
"You taught me," Arina smiled.
_NOT HOSPITAL. HOME._
The doctor said: "Rest."
Caliban picked Arina up in his arms.
And took her home.
For 3 days he sat next to her.
Didn't sleep.
Didn't eat.
On the 4th day Arina opened her eyes.
"Water."
Caliban gave it to her immediately.
"Thank God."
"For what?"
"That you didn't leave me alone."
Arina held his wounded hand.
"Why did you get on your knees?"
"Because you are mine," Caliban said.
"And I can kneel for my own."
Arina's eyes filled.
_THE TALK._
1 week later.
Both on the roof.
The city was being rebuilt.
Arina: "Caliban, I am scared."
"Of what?"
"This war.
When will it end?"
"As long as Vampires exist, it won't."
"Then what do we do?"
Caliban held her hand.
"We keep fighting.
Together."
Arina rested her head on his shoulder.
"Promise me."
"Promise what?"
"That you will never turn your back."
"I promise," Caliban said.
"And you?"
"Me too."
_THE NEW THREAT._
That night a call came.
Unknown number.
"Caliban," a voice said.
"This is Vladimir's younger brother speaking.
My name is Draven.
I am coming from Europe.
With 1000 Vampires.
This time complete destruction."
The call ended.
Caliban threw the phone at the wall.
Arina held his hand.
"I am not scared."
"Neither am I," Caliban said.
"Because now I am not alone."
He pulled Arina closer.
And kissed her forehead.
A long one.
"The Blood Oath bound us," he said.
"Now even death can't separate us."
Arina closed her eyes.
"Then let's fight."
"Together," Caliban said.
_MORNING. PREPARATION._
The whole White Moon Pack gathered.
200 wolves.
Caliban stood on the stage.
Wounds healed.
But eyes full of fire.
"Brothers!" he roared.
"This could be our last war.
Or a new beginning.
Vampires think we are weak.
Let's show them what we are!"
Everyone raised their swords.
"ALPHA! ALPHA! ALPHA!"
Arina stood at the very front.
Dagger in hand.
Mark glowing.
Caliban looked at her.
And thought in his heart:
"My strength."
_NIGHT. 1 NIGHT BEFORE THE ATTACK._
Arina couldn't sleep.
Caliban came to her room.
"Can't sleep?"
"No."
"Scared?"
"Yes."
Caliban sat next to her.
"Arina, if tomorrow..."
"Shh," Arina put her hand over his mouth.
"We are not talking about tomorrow."
Caliban kissed her hand.
"Okay."
Then he covered her with a blanket.
And lay down on the floor beside her.
"I am right here," he said.
"All night."
Arina held his hand.
And fell asleep.
Outside the wind was blowing.
And far in the jungle wolves were howling.
The war was near.
But this time they were not alone.
