Chapter 17“You look thoughtful, what’s wrong?” he asks and I avoid eye contact and stare at the wall by my side.
“Roxy, my best friend had a bad day and I am worried about her. That’s all,” I sigh.

I do as instructed and once I breathe out, I repeat his exact words in a whisper more to myself than to him

Out of nowhere Blake softly shouts to no one in particular.
