Chapter 6Khaal did his best to relax, but it was impossible. It was dark and mostly quiet in the neighboring cells, but Azrail and Dot were making so much noise he wanted to snarl. They did something so their teeth sounded, and it was driving him insane. He took a deep breath, then another, and another, but when he was about to suck in yet another, Chavir snarled and stood. Khaal flew to his feet, too. Together, they walked over to Azrail and Dot. They were huddled on the mattress, their blankets wrapped tightly around them, and they were shivering. “It’s not cold.” Chavir looked at him, then back at them.
