Dominic's POV I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as I was led forward, my movements restricted by the bonds that held me. The Elders moved with a sense of urgency, their countenances grave and their expressions resolute. They were as inscrutable as ever, their thoughts shielded from me by the veil of their stoicism. Despite their reticence, their actions spoke volumes. They had already come to a decision about my fate, and it was not one that boded well for me.
