I woke up in an unfamiliar room, the walls painted white. As I got out of bed, the first thought that crossed my mind was, am I still alive? Maybe this was the afterlife. However, when I looked out the window, I realized that I was still on the ground.
Memories of the last event before I lost consciousness flooded my mind. Anger surged through my veins as Adonis's last words echoed in my head. It was a good thing I took the risk and rejected him. Now, I am free. Strangely, I felt no pain, but I didn't have time to sit back and ponder on how I miraculously survived. I needed to leave before someone discovered me here and raised an alarm. Only Adonis knew why he kept me in this room, but I didn't want to stick around and find out.
