Charlotte's POV
The second day of our reconnaissance mission went by even quicker than the last. It saddened me that we were leaving that same night. Deep inside, I wanted to stay in this village; the people were actually nice and didn't expect anything from me. I also liked the fact that everyone stayed as humans, no shifting or anything. Back when I couldn't shift, I always felt jealous of children who could shift while I couldn't. But now, staying in my human form, I feel like I belong. Iris continued to train with her new weapons, the throwing disk, while Trinity already got the hang of making healing potions. I also tried to start seasoning my food, but I was bad at it; I kept adding too much salt to the meat, making it almost inedible.
