Chapter 28John Baptiste felt completely alone. He'd spent the last two days moving from place to place, either on foot or by taking a bus, and he'd spent the last two nights in a hostel for the homeless. At least he hadn't had to sleep on the street, although the hostel was barely a step up. The man at the Salvation Army office in Clyde Street was kind and sympathetic. He didn't ask too many questions.
