Chapter Two

630 Words
Three Years Later . . . . Moon Ga-Young abruptly sat up in her bed, her heart beating against her ribcage. She ran a hand through her hair and closed her eyes. No matter how much she tried to brush the hunting past away, the pain would always catch up. Droplets of tears fell from her eyes and soon she was sobbing quietly. And in the cold and dark room, she broke down. She wished it was a nightmare and not a memory from her past life. Her poor broken heart hurt with the painful memories of three years ago. Surrounded by the country's top socialites, she was utterly humiliated and embarrassed. Her heart was torn into pieces, stomped on and thrown away into the sea like trash. She had stood by Rashford's side a a decade and a half, wasting her youthful years futiely chasing after a man who spared her not even two glances. When he was not too cared about working any longer and his company's stocks were reducing, she took a position as Vice President of his company and worked her body to the ground. She expanded the company to its fullest potential making it on The Top Five Company List in the world. No one knew the mastermind but he did and he repaid her by cheating and breaking off their engagement. Sophie Bass . . . . even her name sounded innocent. Just like the character Cinderella, she grew up in a pitiful home whose father left her at a young age forcing her mother to single handedly raise her. After pulling some strings, Sophie's mother was able to land a job as a cleaner in the Moon household. By becoming a cleaner, Sophie was always with her mother when she got to know Moon Ga-Young. But not once did Moon Ga-Young call her a cleaner's daughter. She treated her equally as she treated herself. And also this was what Sophie repaid her with. Lying. Because the darkness in the room allowed her the reminisce her past without any distractions of some sort, she didn't hear the knock on her door. One knock became two then three then four until it became harsher and louder. The door slammed open without warning. A beautiful goddess like woman stepped into the room. Her hips naturally swaying side to side. Long, slender legs, seductive eyes, curves in all the right places and a great fashion sense. It wasn't difficult to see that she was a world renowned supermodel. Camari De Luca stopped infront of her friend. "Oh hey, Cami. What are you doing here". Moon Ga-Young wiped her tears quickly but Camari was faster. "Moon, are you crying". She asked. "What? No, I'm not". Her friend replied. Camari knew she was lying but didn't want to press on the matter anymore. But Camari being Camari opened her mouth. "Please don't ever shed tears for that asshole and his w***e". Camari was the only friend that stayed by her side when Rashford practically blacklisted her. When Moon Ga-Young's friends discovered that she had no more power and title of the Future Mrs. Brown, they all abandoned her. Moon Ga-Young wouldn't deny the fact that she used to be a horrible woman whose name was locked with sin. She couldn't change the past but she could change her future. Which was why she was working hard to be a better being. This time she wasn't that seventeen year old girl who thought love conquered all. This time she was strong and capable. She was going to every soul pay for what they did to her. They won't know what hit them. They will probably wish she died when she's done. They should watch out because she's coming with speed.
