Peter eyed the two people sitting across from him, clearly lost in thought. After a long pause, he finally broke the silence, firing off a few questions at William. Once he got his answers, he mumbled to himself, "This doesn't make any sense. It's not just improbable, it's straight-up impossible. Scientifically, there's no way to explain this. I've never seen or heard of anything like it, and even my old mentor wouldn't have."
As he rummaged through his medical kit for various instruments, he hesitated before turning to Emma. "Uh, Miss… no offense, but I need to run some tests on you. I hope you don't mind."
Emma waved off his concern, her tone polite but firm. "You're Dr. Peter Garry, Mr. Howard's family doctor, right? Go ahead. Do whatever tests you need."
