Ryder POV
“What’s wrong, Kimberly?” Kira looked worriedly at her friend and then eventually stopped walking. We moved to the side to let the other students pass by.
We were on our way to the dining hall. Instead of walking in between me and River the entire walk, Kimberly moved beside Kira when we met them in the hallway.
As if they do not have enough time for gossip.
“Why? What’s happening?” River just had to ask and approach the girl. When it comes to Kimberly, he’s the first one to be alert.
“Nothing,” Kimberly answered abruptly. “I’m sorry. Nothing is happening.”
River held her hand and then his eyes shot to his forehead.
“You’re hot.”
“Everyone knows she’s hot.” I blurted out.
Oh, goodness! I didn’t mean to say that out loud!
However, none of them seemed to have heard me.
