Mr. Ben quickly ran to his work post. Jared waited for him to come back so he could call the students' names. After an hour, Jared got a text from Mr. Ben: "Sorry, I can’t come back. Let’s plan the meeting for another day."
As Jared was about to leave, he heard voices from the next old classroom. One voice shouted, "You better be careful, or he will tell the whole school that you have been sleeping with him."
Curious, Jared decided to see who it was. He hid so they wouldn’t know he was there. It was Eve and another security guard.
The security guard continued, "Why not pay him the money you both agreed on? I know him well; he will do anything for money."
Eve looked upset. "I don’t have that kind of money right now. What should I do?"
The security guard looked serious. "If you want to
