September 1st.
After receiving all of his belongings in his wallet, Tweedledee took the dark red robe that Jeff handed over.
The robes were black on the surface, but standing toe to toe with the black, one could see the dark red inside as if blood had solidified.
"Young Master this is about the age to go to work."Jeff smiled, a hint of tears in his eyes.
What was remembered as a little bitty boy had now grown into a teaching professor.
"Don't make it sound like I've done something amazing."Tevye half-kneeled and gave the elf a hug.
"In my eyes, Young Master Tver is always so marvelous."Jeff said softly ... Arriving at the gates of Hogwarts once again, Tweedledum noticed that the place had become a little cleaner, as if it had gone through some very careful cleaning.
And the doors were still wide open.
Was this the bottom line of Hogwarts, not the least bit worried about unsuspecting wizards breaking in?
"Looks like you're ready to be a professor, Tver, no, I should call you Professor Foley."
Professor McGonagall scanned the area, pleased with Tver's proper dress and grooming.
The appearance alone was enough to make it the most noticeable professor in the school.
It was still Professor McGonagall who was in charge of guiding Tweedledum, but the expression on her face was a little more relaxed and at ease.
"I am still a student before you."
Tver replied with a smile.
He had been corresponding with Professor McGonagall all this time, mainly to learn about teaching at Hogwarts.
To be honest, it was a bit surprising to Tver.
The curriculum at Hogwarts wasn't too harsh for the students, but it was much harsher for the professors in charge of the classes.
There were a total of seven compulsory courses in the school, which meant that there were seven compulsory professors, but of course, there was now an additional assistant professor.
These professors were responsible for teaching the entire school.
But there were seven grades and four houses here!
Except for the sixth and seventh graders who were in one grade together.
All five remaining grades shared a class between the two faculties.
Plus, each class has to be taught at least two consecutive classes a week, with each class lasting one and a half hours.
This means that the professors of the compulsory courses need to work at least thirty-six hours five days a week!
And that's not even counting the chores of correcting homework, preparing lessons, and so on.
To put it disrespectfully, Professor Binns, who teaches the history of magic, most likely died of overwork ... And the professor of Black Magic Defense Arts turned out to be a year thrower, and also probably couldn't stand the high intensity of the work for a whole year down the line ... Good thing that Tweedledee applied for the position of assistant professor, and only needed to teach theGrades one through three.
No need to procrastinate until the end of the school year, and Chilo has free time to steal magic stones yay!
How sweet!
"How come I don't see your luggage though?"Professor McGonagall looked at the all-light Tver suspiciously, "Professors live in the castle because there really isn't that much time to go back and forth."
"I have a special little package."
Tver patted his pockets and winked at Professor McGonagall.
"Well then, let me show you around where you'll be working in the future."
As Professor McGonagall entered the castle at Hogwarts, she spared a moment to give Tweedledum a tour of Hogwarts as she cleaned the statues and armor of the castle.
"There aren't many professors in the school, so it's rather busy, especially Albus, and I'm usually in charge of most of the school's management, so if you need anything you can come over to me."
Professor McGonagall's voice had a bit of a whine in it that Tver didn't dare echo.
"It shows that you've pleased Headmaster Dumbledore enough in your management to make him feel comfortable leaving the school in your hands."
"Speaking of which, you're a lot more different than I thought Durmstrang would be."
Professor McGonagall looked at Tweedledum curiously.
"Imagine Durmstrang?"
Tver made a gorilla face.
"It's not going to be that image of a rugged face with a beard, a jarring speech, a body full of toned muscles, and an aura of black magic, is it?"
Professor McGonagall laughed softly and shook her head.
"My mistake, but at least it's much more humorous than I thought it would be, and you'll be very popular with the students."
"I hope so."
Professor McGonagall led Tver to a room on the third floor in front of a room that was located between Chilo's Black Magic Defense Arts office and the prize display room.
"This is your office, feel free to arrange it the way you like, but not too ... peculiar."
Having partnered up with quite a few professors of Defense Against the Dark Arts, Professor McGonagall seemed to have seen quite a few peculiar things.
"Shouldn't be any worse than having taxidermy set up in the classroom."
Tver thought back to the basement and seeing that scene in the Potions classroom.
Even in Durmstrang, they wouldn't have put those out with a big grin, it was like "I'm not a nice person" written on the side of your head.
It was spacious inside, with only a desk and some bookshelves to be replenished by Tver himself.
Further inside this room, there was another room that would be Tver's bedroom.
The bedroom wasn't as spartan as the outside, though; it was well-prepared and had been thoughtfully draped with cloth curtains bearing the Hogwarts seal.
"Since I didn't know what kind of office you preferred, I didn't take it upon myself to set it up for you, so if there's anything you'd like to add, feel free to come by and see me."
"Very satisfied, I can't even say that I couldn't be more satisfied, I can clearly feel that you are taking care of me."
Tver nodded in satisfaction, not as good as his own room at the manor, but it was already considered very nice.
Compared to the cramped Durmstrang, Hogwarts Castle was significantly more spacious.
There were more students, but fewer professors!
So the professors still had plenty of living space.
Professor McGonagall then proceeded to lead Tver to the first floor.
"This is classroom eleven of the school, the classroom where you'll be teaching the students from now on."
Tver looked at this classroom with surprise, his office was already spacious, this classroom was at least twice as big as his office!
"This is the largest classroom in the school, Dumbledore prepared it especially for you, saying that you needed enough space to teach."
Professor McGonagall explained that this classroom was rarely used anymore, and such a large area was enough to set up a grassland.
So she was also curious about the content of the teaching that Tver would be conducting in this classroom.
Anyway, everyone would know about it once they got to the official classes, so instead of explaining, Tweedledum was satisfied with Dumbledore's thoughtfulness.
Under Professor McGonagall's guidance, Tver had already roughly strolled through most of the castle, and was considered to have a preliminary understanding of this ancient castle.
The specifics would have to wait for him to take his time to explore.
As night fell, Professor McGonagall then led Tver to the auditorium.
As soon as Tver stepped into the auditorium, the overcast clouds on the ceiling tumbled and flickered, and the candles overhead lit up under Professor McGonagall's spell.
"There's some peculiar magic up here, it's been like this since I was a student at Hogwarts, there are some clever variations every now and then."Professor McGonagall explained.
"Very interesting, the mystery of Hogwarts is making me more and more excited for what's to come."A small smile curled the corners of Tver's mouth.
