Give Me Reason To Live

Chapter 3

Taehyung's POV

Today I arrived at work late, finding my boss in a 'not so good ' mood. The whole day he was yelling and shouting at everyone in the department. He looked stressed to be honest and i wondered what could have caused him to be in such a state because most of the time he is always happy. It was finally knocked of time, i was about to start packing until my boss came to me and to me to remain behind to assist him  now with a risk analysis that is due on Friday. 

Truly speaking I was not happy at all, I did not get why we rushing to finish something that is due on Friday when it is Monday today. Some bosses are too extra honestly. I was honestly frustrated because i wanted to be with my mate. As i was busy assisting my boss who is Baekhyun, I realized  my university knowledge is playing a big important rule in my line of work. I am glad I paid attention in class or else I was going to be yelled at every second.

While we were busy with the analysis, a figure walked into my boss's office. I did not look as I was focused until I heard my name. "Taehyung, stand up and show your boss respect", My boss Baekhyun said. I saved whatever I was working on and raised my eyes only to be met with a very handsome man I have ever seen in my life.

I mean Namjoon is handsome, but this man in front of me was flames, I can guarantee that tons of girls kill each other just to be close to him. I bowed down to show my respect and raised my eyes to find him eyeing me. "Are you Kim Taehyung?", he asked leaving me and Baekhyun shocked. I nodded my head, "Well I have to admit you look even more beautiful in person", he said leaving me shocked and confused.

"You are Namjoon's mate right?", the handsome man asked and I nodded. "I'm Jungkook, his friend", he said leaving me shocked. I didn't know my bae (boyfriend/lover)  have such hot friends. I couldn't say anything other than 'oh okay'.  I was told he was a brat, but he looked very nice. My eyes and Jungkook's eyes met and immediately I saw Jungkook's  eyes  turn red.

I was confused but after few seconds they turned back to their original color. "Baekhyun can I expect the risk analysis report by tomorrow the latest? Turn out Friday is too far", he said now looking at Baekhyun like he didn't just ask us to not live this office without finishing. I was shocked to say the least, how can he just say that, it's short notice. "Okay sir, tomorrow it is but you will probably receive it in the afternoon", Baekhyun said calmly and he nodded. "Have nice night you two" he said as he walked away waving his hand at us..

I was about to ask Baekhyun why he allowed that but he stopped me, " this is why I always want the reports ready before deadline. He is a workaholic, meaning the rest of us will have to be like him also. He changes his mind all the time. Unfortunately we must jump every time he says we jump with no question asked" , Baekhyun said showing that he was frustrated and tired.

I didn't say anything as I just went back to working. "By the way I didn't know you and Namjoon were a thing", Baekhyun said. "Yeah we are, just didn't want the whole company to know, as they will think I am obtaining special treatment because I really don't. I act like I do not  know him when I'm at work" I said while pouting.

"I can only imagine, but why did your eyes change when you saw Jungkook. Aren't you mates with Namjoon?", Baekhyun asked."I wasn't aware that my eyes also changed,but honestly i do not know because i am mated with Namjoon", I said showing here my mating mark.  "Oh okay, did you feel anything when you looked at him?", Baekhyun asked and I shook my head. "Okay then, let's get back to work and give that selfish brat his report tomorrow", Baekhyun said while i giggled due to the comment he made about Jungkook.

It was currently half ten at night and I was sure Namjoon was waiting for me as he kept sending me texts asking me why am I not home. I already told him I'm working late but being the stubborn adorable mate he is,  he didn't stop texting me leaving me no option but to switch of my phone. Baekhyun decided to drop me off at my place as there were no buses left anymore. When I got home I found Namjoon sitting on a sofa watching a series. "Shouldn't you be sleeping? It's late", I said as I went towards him. "How can I sleep when my baby is not  home", he said as he kissed my lips and kissed his mark. We decided to go to bed as I was tired and worn out.
