Elara’s POV The alarm clock blared in my ear like it had a personal grudge. Three a.m. I slammed a hand over it, groaning into my pillow. “Moon goddess, why me?” I muttered, dragging myself upright. My room was soundproof— thank the stars—otherwise half the pack would’ve been at my door already, laughing at their Alpha whining before dawn. I stumbled into the shower, let the icy water shock me awake, then padded to my closet. Black jeans, red tank, leather jacket, my armor of choice. As I yanked on my boots, I caught my reflection. My eyes looked harder than the girl who ran from Knightfall years ago, but underneath, there was still that restless, simmering fire.
