The photograph remained on Elena’s phone. Evelyn stood inside the forgotten chapel with the missing chapter pressed against her chest. Across from her stood the Keeper. Still only a silhouette. Still impossible to read. But Elena no longer cared about his identity. Her sister was in that room. That was enough. “We’re going,” Elena said. Adrian shook his head. “Not without a plan.” “There isn’t time.” “There is always time for a plan when the alternative is walking into an ambush.” Elena looked at him. “They have Evelyn.” “And Victor.” She swallowed. “Then we get them both.” Marcus was already studying the chapel’s floor plan. “There’s an underground entrance beneath the altar.” Adrian moved beside him. “How many exits?” “Three.” “Guards?” “Unknown.” Marcus enlarged
