Rose’s Point of View; As I opened the door to let Alex in, I wasn’t prepared for what I saw. There, sitting on the couch, was Alice. She was staring at Alex with an unreadable expression on her face. My first instinct was to call it anger, but then, as I studied her further, it felt more like... fear. I couldn't tell for sure. Her face was a mess of emotions, and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. A sudden, unsettling thought flickered through my mind, it was brief but sharp enough to leave a mark.
