Nora’s POV I got three hours of sleep on the office couch. Wren was already gone when I woke up — she'd left a note on the desk that said coffee in the break room, stop making that face and nothing else. I appreciated the efficiency. I did not appreciate that she knew what face I was making before she'd seen it. I showered in the attending's washroom on the second floor, changed into the spare scrubs I kept in my locker, and was at the third-floor nurses' station by seven-fifteen with the overnight notes in my hand and my face doing exactly what it needed to do.
