‘ROOM CRUSHER’

It was a Friday and Joel was invited to a party which he decided to go with his girlfriend. Patty accepted to go with him to release the stress the week had come with. The setting for the party was great. The purpose of the party was just to release stress because it wasn't a birthday party or any themed party. Joel however was invited because some of his friends were part of the organizers of the party. Party wore a simple but beautiful dress. Most of the ladies in the room wore revealing dresses whiles some of them also kept it cool. Patty was sitting beside her boyfriend actually enjoying the party when the person she regarded as the devil in her mind appeared from the crowd moving towards them. She gave Patty a wink and gave Joel a hug and a kiss on his neck. Patty fidgeted in her seat and Joel noticed she was angry. Patty whispered that they leave but Joel suggested they stay and apologized fir Maud's bad manners. She insisted they leave and Joel agreed. On their way to their apartment it was a silent drive. She had a lot on her mind she didn't even know what to think anymore. Joel apologized again once he pulled up in front of their block. Patty just stared, nodded and excused herself out of the car. Joel knows she was still mad and didn't blame her. She walked to her room alone without waiting for Joel to take her. She got to her room and told Blessed about what happened and just went to bed. The next day she decided to let everything slide since Joel didn't ask for it and it wasn't his fault. Joel went to her that morning to apologize for what happened the night before. He asked Patty to trust him because he was no longer interested in his ex. He also explained to her that he and Maud were just friends and that's how Maud is naturally. Patty had already decided to let the issue slide and she did just that. She later joined Joel in his room to learn and also spend time together since it was a weekend. After long hours of studying they decided to watch a movie to relax their head. In the course of watching the movie Patty asked Joel what happened between he and Maud.

"Maud and I were just friends with benefit but at a point she moved in with me and I guess we promoted our relationship. We really loved each other and she got my attention but she cheated on me with some guy and I broke up with her when I found out" Joel explained.

"Okay. Do you still love her or have feelings for her?" Patty asked worried.

"No... everything is about you now Patty. I really love you and I know you are my last." Joel answered.

"Okay. But I don't get why she is always around" Patty said confused.

"She is currently in a relationship too. Just trust me and we will be just fine" Joel assured.

"Oh Okay" Patty replied with relief.

They continued watching the movie until they both fell asleep. Heavy knocks on the door woke them up. Joel checked the time and it was 11pm. Patty advices him not to open the door since it was very late but he just asked Patty to hide in the kitchen while he check who was at the door. Patty did as she was told and Joel opened the door only to find Maud at the door heavily drunk and went unconscious right when Joel had opened the door. Joel called Patty out of her hiding place and she couldn't believe her eyes. 

"What is she doing here and what happened to her?" Patty asked at the sight of Maud.

" I think she is drunk" Joel replied.

"And she has passed out so what do we do? Patty asked confused

"You ask too many questions babe. I think she needs a hot bath. Let's take her to my bathroom so you help bath her please" Joel suggested.

"Okay I can do that. But where is she going to sleep? I hope she won't sleep here? I don't trust this girl with you and Kevin us also not around" Patty spat out confused.

"Just help her clean up and I will prepare her some tea we will think about where she will sleep later ok" Joel answered.  While Patty helped Maud undress she saw some marks on her body as though someone who was tortured. After the bath Maud regained consciousness. Patty had called Blessed to bring up some clothes so they assisted Maud wear those and Blessed left. Joel later brought her tea and Maud thanked him. Patty signaled Joel to the kitchen and asked again where Maud would spend the night.

"Here I guess since it's late" Joel shrugged.

"Here? You must be joking I'm not leaving you two in this apartment all alone. I will sleep here too if is to spend the night here" Patty stated with a frown.

"Ei you want to sleepover today? Are you sure? You don't have to okay just trust me" Joel replied.

"Mr I'm spending the night here isn't she is staying over and that's it" Patty concluded.

"Okay ma" Joel nodded surprised. 

Maud slept in Joel's room while Joel and Patty slept in Kevin's room. Kevin was off campus for that semester and he didn't have a problem with Joel occupying his room.

The next morning Maud's clothes had dried since Patty washed them so she changed back into her clothes and left. Patty retired to her room shortly after Maud had left.
