PARTY AFTER PARTY

"Oh my God, I'm running late for lectures but I can't leave my bed messy. Gloria can you please help me lay my bed?" Patty asked.

"See this small girl, asking a whole me to lay her bed. Hmmm....inside life. Anyways it's your birth month so I will help you. Don't worry go to class. I've gotchu babes" Gloria replied.

"Thanks hun. Lay it well ooo" Patty replied while running off.

After exhausting eight whole hours on campus, Patty and her besties were already worn out and decided to grab some food at the cafeteria, since they were famished. After some few minutes, Tony had devoured his cinnamon rolls as well as washed it down with his milkshake. Patty and Blessed couldn't help but laugh their exhausted asses out. 

Unlike most guys, Tony wasn't a foodie and his besties always made fun of him. Even though he was a well built, they just thought every guy should be a foodie.

Patty and Tony's birthday was approaching very fast. Rejoice was pressuring them to organize a party but Patty wasn't in support of that. She just wanted to watch a movie with her roomies and besties while sipping on a fruity mock-tail. She was just hoping that Tony wouldn't change her plans. That evening Tony and Blessed went to Patty's place to plan their party. They arrived just on time since Patty and her Roomies were around. Before Tony could even voice out his plans, Patty had stated her plans which was for them to watch a movie.

"Ah watch a mo...vie? As what...are we ki..ds...do you want my...my boys to call me a woman" Tony asked, with pauses in his voice. 

"I'm not forcing you to watch a movie on your birthday. Besides your birthday is three days after mine. So you guys should let me do what I want. How you celebrate yours is up to you boo" Patty replied with a wink.

"Why I'm I not even surprised. Tony please plan your party okay I won't miss it for anything. In fact I can help you with the decor. Just lemme know when you need my help. As for you Patty enjoy your boring ass life alone" in Hannah's voice.

"You see the way Rejoice and Gloria are looking at you....hmmm....far from that, Patty it's just going to be a cool party with only few people. You are the only one not in favour of this party. You know we need all the fun we can get to release the stress from the semester. Just think about how happy your friends will be. You will also like it...trust me." Blessed said trying to convince her girlfriend.

"See the plan was to have a party on your day and just a friends-day-out on mine but since you don't want that then I'm not going to celebrate my birthday this year" Tony said to Patty while rubbing her hands. Tony had a soft spot for Patty and she knew it.

"Okay fine...Now that Tony is trying to bribe me with his feelings what can I say. Let's plan a party but with few people and NO ALCOHOL" Patty said giving up.

"No alcohol? Don't ever say that 'may borns rock' again in this room. You are all boring. Who organises a party without alcohol. Even during your naming ceremony alcohol was served" Rejoice blurted out after battling with a gum she almost swallowed.

"See who is talking. Don't even go there...Tony won't you talk some sense into her. Do you know the characterictics of 'may borns'...our physical attractiveness coupled with mental strength alone, makes us irresistible. Don't provoke me because I wouldn't hesitate to educate you on my birth month" Patty concluded with a sign.

Tony couldn't help laughing out loud.

Tony was to plan the party since Patty wasn't a 'party person'. Tony knew he didn't have to create a guest list.. All he had to do was to tell a few of his friends that he was organising a party and also tell them the venue. He knew that they would spread it as if it were the gospel.

He also decided to fund the party even though Patty wasn't in support of it. Patty gave up in the 'funding fight' when she realized Tony wasn't going to let her foot any bills. Like I said before, Tony had a soft spot for Patty and he grew fond of her day by day but didn't want to voice it out because he didn't want to destroy their friendship.

It was exactly 12am on the 8th of May and Patty was still enjoying her sleep when her roomies and besties drizzled chilled water on her.

HER FRIENDS; happy birthday to you...you were born in a zoo....you smell like a monkey and you look like one too....hip hip hip...hurrrayyyyyyy....we love your boring ass♥️

PATTY: awwwwthank you guys soo much....and I love you all right back.

They all gave her gifts and also read their birthday wishes to her. They discussed different topics for rest of the night. Patty also replied her numerous birthday wishes on her watsapp at the same time chatting her friends. She dedicated most of her time replying messages and calls. She was more than overwhelmed. Almost everybody in her hostel wished her. She was even surprised that a lot of people knew her name. 

"Charley talk your paddies say today be the day ooo...the party dey Samrit hotel....it will begin at exactly 9pm. Make you menerz rock the party give me" in Tony's voice to his friends.

Patty and her roomies started to dress up for the party and Blessed was there too because was supposed to dress at Patty's place. They looked adorable and just couldn't wait to step out to the party.

"You can't come with us ooo....Tony will come and pick you. See you at the party. Byeee..." Blessed stated while they all stepped out of the room.

Just before she could say a word, the door slammed in her face. She had no choice but to wait for Tony since she didn't even know the location of the party. It didn't take too long for Tony to reach her aid. Tony couldn't take his eyes off her when he got to her room.

"Thank God you are here. I was just about to give up on the party" Patty said with a sigh.

"Woow....you are looking like bread buttered in heaven" Tony complimented.

"Thanks boo. Can we go now" Patty said with a smile.

Tony blindfolded Patty when they were almost at the venue. She didn't bother to hesitate because she knew Tony wouldn't give up. They finally arrived at the venue but Tony had to hold her hands so she can balance her steps since she was blindfolded. She had a tight grip on him because she was wearing a pair of stiletto heels. She was the reason for the party so she had dressed a little extra. They finally got to where everyone was and Tony told her that he would take the blindfold off after the third count. Everywhere was quiet.

"Wait ooo....why is the place quiet like that? Where is everyone?"Patty asked.

"Without answering her questions, Tony started to count. Oneeee.....twoooo and threeeeee...."Tony counted.

Tony took the blindfold off. Before the blindfold came off completely, she got the surprise her life.

"Happy birthdayyyyyyy" everyone at the party wished her in a chorus and sang a birthday song afterwards. She was soo happy. She thanked everyone and then the DJ released the music after her 'thank you' speech. She danced with her friends and they were surprised she could actually dance since she was never seen at a party. She signed out of the dance floor and retired to her seat. She decided to get a cold drink to cool her temperature so she went to the bar area. She sat at the bar, still enjoying the party while sipping on her drink when this fiinnee ass dude showed up at the bar to fill up his glass. Patty couldn't help but stare at the guy. She quickly turned her attention to her drink when the guy look up at her. Her heart began to pound when the guy walked to her side to wish her a 'happy birthday'. She replied with a cool 'thank you' and went back to where her seat was. The guy walked up to where she was sitting and offered her a gift. Her friends looked at them with the corner of their eyes as if they weren't looking. She noticed but held her peace.

"Birthday girl I hope you are enjoying the party? I got you a gift and I think you will like it" in the new guy's voice.

"Very thoughtful of you, thanks." Patty replied thankfully.

A lot of girls were stealing glances at the guy and Patty noticed but she couldn't blame them. Even Patty looked at him more than twice. I mean any girl would. This guy was not just handsome. He was well built with cool muscles, his Hair was nice and low and he had soft waves, his caramel skin was one to die for. His looks and stature was just every ladies dream. Bringing a gift to the party for the birthday girl was just a plus.
