I Fall In Love With A Stranger

Lina is a 21-year-old student studying medicine at Nairobi University. She comes from a poor background and is determined to succeed to help her family. One day, on her way to class, she encounters a handsome man, and although she is late, she can't stop thinking about him. Later, in class, she realizes that the new teacher is the same man she saw earlier. Despite her friends' teasing, Lina is unable to concentrate on her studies as she is preoccupied with the thoughts of the teacher. The teacher also develops feelings for Lina but doesn't reveal them, as he wants her to focus on her exams. After the exams, the teacher asks to speak with Lina, and they agree to meet the next day. Lina is anxious about the meeting, but when they finally meet, the teacher expresses his feelings for her and asks if he can visit her at her place. They agree to talk further at Lina's place.

The next day, Lina woke up early in the morning to clean the house so that when Mr. Nicolas arrived, he would see that the house was clean. She finished cleaning and then looked for something to cook for the visitor. After preparing everything, she took a shower and then relaxed while reading a novel.

When she heard a knock on the door, she went to check who it was and saw Mr. Nicolas. She opened the door and Mr. Nicolas came in and sat down. She welcomed him and offered him a drink. Mr. Nicolas then suggested they talk about themselves. He began, "I'm Nicolas, the only child in my family, and I'm a lecturer. Tell me about yourself." Lina started to talk, "I'm the firstborn in my family. I come from a poor background, but I'm doing my best to achieve my goals and help my family." Mr. Nicolas responded, "Wow! I like your confidence. You're an intelligent girl, and I like your spirit."

Lina, do you have a boyfriend?" Lina was shocked by the question. She wondered what she should tell the man and asked herself many questions. "Are you afraid of me?" he asked, and Lina replied, "No." He then asked, "Why are you not answering my questions?" Lina explained that she didn't have a boyfriend because she spent all her time studying to achieve her goals and help her family. The man seemed surprised and said, "Are you kidding me at this age? You want to tell me that you don't know about relationships at all?" Lina replied, "Yes." Mr. Nicolas was not convinced and asked, "Are you a virgin?" Lina looked down without an answer, but Mr. Nicolas insisted on knowing because she had mentioned that she didn't know about relationships.

Lina, say yes I'm a virgin. The man was surprised by her age and the fact that she was still a virgin. So Nicolas was happy to hear that, and he told her to keep focused on achieving her goals in life. He also confessed his feelings for her but didn't want to distract her during her exams. Lina promised not to let his words distract her until after her exams. Nicolas then encouraged her to focus on her next exam, offering to help her with any topics she didn't understand. He taught her until 3:00 pm and wished her success in her next exam before leaving. Lina remained at home, studying for her upcoming exam and anticipating her graduation.

Lina arrives home and bids farewell to Mr. Nicolas before heading inside to relax and prepare for her exam the following day. She receives a call from Mr. Nicolas, who praises her performance at church, leaving her feeling happy and grateful. After thanking him, she decides to rest in preparation for her exam the next day.

The next morning, Lina wakes up early and prepares herself for her final exam. She feels confident and well-prepared as she arrives at her class to await the exam. The teacher enters, distributes the exam papers, and they begin the first part, which takes about an hour and a half. After a break for breakfast, they return to complete the last part of the exam. As they see other students finishing their exams, everyone is happy and looking forward to graduation.

After the exam, Lina went back to her apartment to rest. While she was resting at home, she received a text on her phone from Nicolas asking her how the exam went. She replied that it went well and she was hoping for the best results, thanking God for it. Nicolas was happy to hear that and suggested they arrange a day to meet and continue their last conversation. They agreed to meet on the weekend.
