I didn't bother to settle down for work. I had come into the office to put down my case when Damon followed me in.
"Good morning, Boss. This is your schedule for today."
"Yeah, about that. I'm going to need you to push everything back for today to tomorrow. I have something urgent to take care of today."
"I can arrange for you to take some meetings remotely. There are a few meetings you can't cancel on."
"Fine but if you can't do that then don't stress about it. It's fine."
"Yes, Boss." Levine came in with his gadgets the minute Damon left.
"Good morning, Boss."
"Any update?" I was not in the mood to exchange pleasantries.
"Jane texted her if she was still going to go through with it."
